1972 Gmc Custom 1500 Longbed Swingarm Truck Southern California 93505 Pre-smog on 2040-cars
Tehachapi, California, United States
For sale is a 1972 GMC 1500 Custom Longbed. This truck has the rear swing arms, not the leaf springs. The truck fires up and runs great, the motor is solid and healthy, transmission shifts smooth with no issues. Motor and transmission do not leak or burn any fluids, and doesn't overheat. The suspension and brakes are good and it cruises smoothly at all speeds. However, the tires are going to need to be replaced in the near future. Also, small power steering fluid leak, not major, but gives a few drips here and there. The body is great with only one dent on the passengers back of the bed right before the tail light. The interior can use some TLC as you can see in pics. This truck is ready as a driver for whatever purpose or a great base for a restoration. This is a no reserve auction, winning bidder owns it! Truck has a Clean California Title with Current DMV (no back fees). Pre-Smog in California so no smog needed.

GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups
Mon, 14 Oct 2013General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
