THIS IS A 1991 GMC 1500. IT HAS A 350 AUTOMATIC WITH A SHORT FLARE SIDE BED.I HAVE BEEN FIXING UP THIS TRUCK BECAUSE IT HAS A HEART OF GOLD. I HAVE NEVER HAD A TRUCK RUN SO GOOD. I ORIGANALLY BOUGHT THIS TRUCK JUST TO HAUL WOOD SEVERAL YEARS AGO, BUT STARTED WORKING ON IT BECAUSE THE ENGINE WAS JUST TOO GOOD TO WASTE. ALL OF THESE ITEMS HAVE BEEN REPLACED ON THE TRUCK AS WELL AS THE BODY WORK THAT I HAVE DONE. THAT IS WHY IT IS MOSTLY IN PRIMER,NEW FRONT SHOCKS,SWAYBAR,BUSHINGS,NEW REAR SHOCKS, SPRING SHACKLES,GAS TANK,ROCKER PANELS,AND CAB CORNERS.I WAS GOING TO PUT THE FLEET SIDE BED ON IT .SO IT WILL GO WITH THE TRUCK IF THE WINNER OF THE AUCTION WANTS IT ALSO THERE ARE A SET OF CLOTH BUCKET SEATS THAT ARE OUT OF A DIFFERENT GMC THAT I HAD THAT I WILL LET GO OF TOO. AS YOU CAN SEE THE 60 40 SEAT THAT IS IN IT HAS SOME TEARS..PICS OF BED ARE IN WITH PICS OF TRUCK.I HAVE BOUGHT A NEW TRUCK AND NO LONGER NEED IT AND ITS TOO GOOD TO WASTE. GM renders new Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon pickups
Thu, 08 Aug 2013At a series of industry seminars in Traverse City, MI today, General Motors executive vice president Dan Ammann gifted us with our first glimpse of the upcoming midsize pickup range from Chevrolet and GMC.
Just two slivers of nose are all we can see of the soon-to-be announced Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon, though the teaser image does make plain that the pair will follow the styling cues (at least up front) found on big brothers Silverado and Sierra.
GM hasn't given us much in the way of detail in its ultra-brief press release that accompanied the teaser image, which is to be expected. We're told only that the pair of trucks are designed to be "capable, versatile and fuel-efficient alternatives to full-size pickups" and that production will start sometime in 2014, at the Wentzville, MO assembly center.
Chevy Express 1500, GMC Savana 1500 get the axe
Tue, 15 Jul 2014Fans of truck-based, light-duty vans can officially pour one out for the Chevrolet Express 1500 and GMC Savana 1500, as General Motors has officially put its long-serving big/little rigs out to pasture. Things aren't quite as sad as they sound, though. The heavier-duty 2500 and 3500 vans will soldier on, in order to duke it out with the largest members of Ram ProMaster, Ford Transit and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter families.
The move does seem to make a lot of sense. According to GM, customers only purchase the 1500-spec Chevrolet 23 percent of the time, while the GMC captures a mere 7 percent of the Savana family's sales. With numbers like that, it's no shock that GM thinks it can shift some of its buyers into its van family's more capable variants. "We knew we could move a lot of our 1500 customers into 2500-series territory," said GM's Joe Langhauser, the product manager for the company's full-size vans.
It's not just simple sales figures dictating the move, though. The 1500 line is taking up some valuable factory space that will be better spent on an eagerly anticipated new product.
