1992 GMC 1/2 TON 4X4 EXTENDED CAB Stepside, Shortbox This is a very hard to find 1992 "GMC" 4x4 1/2 ton Stepside, shortbox extended cab pickup. I've drove this truck since 1993 and have only seen two others. NO RUST- this truck has lived most of its life in Arizona. It has: 5.7 throttle body fuel injection motor; 350 turbo automatic transmission; Auto hubs on the fly 4x4; Factory bucket seats in front, bench seat in rear; All glass good; All power windows and and power locks work; Good brakes; Good tires about 20%; Cd player with AM/FM stero; Air condition (needs recharging) Receiver Hitch with electric brake setup; Excellent commercial sprayed on Bedliner; No rust; Paint clearcoat is starting to peal in places and there is a dent on the front drivers fender (see pics); Drivers armrest needs to be repaired; No headliner; Latch on tailgate is missing trim/handle, but works; Canopy included. 289,000 miles on odom; This has been always been a great truck for us. GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC
Sun, 06 Oct 2013American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.
GM's fullsize SUVs boost highway mileage by nearly 10 percent
Wed, 26 Feb 2014We met the redesigned 2015 versions of the Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, and the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL at the 2013 LA Auto Show. Improved gas mileage numbers have been announced to go along with the improved exteriors and interiors, with city mileage improving by seven percent and highway mileage going up by nearly ten percent; you'll now get 16 miles per gallon in the city and 23 on the highway.
The only applies to models with the 5.3-liter engine, though, not the premium Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali SUVs with the 6.2-liter motor. Still, the 5.3 gets you more power than previously, with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque underfoot, on top of the improved fuel economy numbers. The 6.2-liter sticks with official mpg ratings of 15 highway, 21 city. There's a brief press release below with words straight from the horse's mouth.

We've got a bright aluminum Airstream camper hitched to our rear bumper as we head up Southern California's coast because GMC says that 60 percent of all full-size pickup owners will use their trucks for towing.
Rather than forcing us to absorb its capabilities in a long-winded PowerPoint presentation, the automaker brought us to Los Angeles and handed us the keys to its all-new 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. After jumping behind the wheel of a 5.3-liter V8 model, we drove up the foggy Malibu coast (locals call the soggy early-summer weather "June Gloom") and made our way to the Camarillo Airport for a towing refresher. Once completed, a brand-new 23-foot Airstream was hitched to our aft end and we were pointed towards a campground just west of Santa Barbara.
