1994 GMC Sierra SLE Extended Cab 4X4 Pickup. 6.5 Turbo Diesel, Automatic transmission with OD, PS, PB, A/C, AM/FM cassette, Tilt, Cruise, Power driver's seat. Black upper color, silver lower color. I'm told this was a special order lightweight K2500 (gross of 6800 lbs not 7200 lbs with 6 bolt wheels not 8 lug). I purchased this truck from the original owner ( my brother). Has been stored in heated garages all its life and has never seen a winter in Maine. I have the original title, bill of sale from dealer, original window sticker, service manuals and all receipts for work done which will be include with vehicle. Fuel Injection pump was replaced by a GMC dealer under warranty at 104,500 miles. I put 4 new Firestone Destination A/T tires and two new batteries this year, about 350 miles on them. Just did an out of storage inspection and service. 0 miles on oil change and lube, new air and fuel filters. Brake Pads and shoes look like new, front end components are all tight. Shocks, muffler and tailpipe have been replaced earlier in it's life all are in great condition. I put an alternator and fuel gauge sending unit in it two years ago and coated top of gas tank with POR-15 while it was removed. I also removed the rear bumper and coated the inside also with POR-15 and painted it to prevent the usual bumper rust that occurs on all of these trucks. The Body is unbelievable nice, no damage, I can't even find a ding but it does have some scratches, very few considering age and mileage. The grill is an chrome aftermarket insert only, the original grill is still installed behind it. It can easily be removed. Truck will also come with the original wheels, they are steel with chrome center caps and stainless trim rings. This truck has been meticulously cared for by both it's owners, most likely only driven by two people its entire life. Pictures will speak for its condition. Here is a great chance to own a well cared for truck that has all the desirable features and is fast becoming a rarity that still gets a lot of compliments whenever I take it out. 2014 GMC Sierra Regular Cab revealed
Thu, 16 May 2013Despite initially launching in just the Crew Cab configuration, the lineup of 2014 GMC Sierra and 2014 Chevrolet Silverado trucks will eventually grow to include three cab sizes and three bed lengths. Oddly enough, our first look at the Regular Cab bodystyle has arrived in a General Motors press release discussing the aerodynamics of the new truck, with an image showing a Sierra Regular Cab testing in the wind tunnel. GMC's website says that Regular Cab and Double Cab models will be available by summer.
While it really didn't take too much imagination to figure out what the two-door version would look like, this Regular Cab Z71 looks pretty sharp with its standard-length (6.5-feet) bed - a longer bed will also be offered. In regards to the aero tuning of the 2014 Sierra, these images show just how far GM has gone in maximizing the truck's fuel efficiency and reducing its noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) levels. Interestingly, the press release shows visual evidence that keeping the tailgate up is best for aero - there's always been some Mythbusters-level contention about such things -but GM also says that adding tonneau covers (preferably soft) and running boards can also help improve the overall aerodynamics. GM recalling Silverado and Sierra HD diesel pickups over fuel gauge follies
Fri, 03 Jan 2014General Motors is recalling 9,733 of its heavy-duty twins over concerns with their 6.6-liter diesel engines and dual fuel tanks. The recall covers some Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickups from model years 2012 and 2013, although the exact dates that the recalled trucks were built isn't specified. There's also no mention of how many models come from Chevrolet and how many are from GMC.
The problem rests with the transfer pump responsible for moving fuel from the rear tank to the front tank - it could fail, resulting in an inaccurate fuel gauge. It hardly requires explaining, but a faulty fuel gauge could leave drivers in a situation where they run out of diesel.
GM will begin notifying customers of affected vehicles, who will be asked to report to their dealers for a free replacement transfer pump.
PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place.
