SELLING A 96 GMC 4X4 FOR PARTS OR IF YOUR IN THE MOOD FOR A PROJECT IT CAN BE DONE. THE BED IS GOOD BUT HAS SOME RUST UNDER WHERE THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT STEEL BOX TUBE BOLTS TO THE BED AND FRAME MEET. ITS AN EASY FIX WITH WELDING A SMALL PC OF BOX TUBE IN ITS PLACE.THE CAB IS GOOD WITH ONLY MINOR RUST IN THE INSIDE DRIVER FLOOR CHANEL WHERE THE WIRES GO ALONG THE SIDE TO THE BACK. THE FENDERS ARE NICE AND THE HOOD IS GOOD. ITS A 350 WITH AUTOMATIC TRANS THAT RAN AND DROVE WHEN PARKED.IT HAS ALL OF ITS DRIVELINE WITH THE 4X4 PARTS TOO.IT HAS A BEDLINER AND REESE HITCH ON IT,HAS ALL ITS GLASS EVEN THOUGH ITS NOT IN THE TRUCK.I BASICALLY BOUGHT THIS TRUCK FOR THE PLOW AND SOME OTHER THINGS FOR MY GMC.ITS MISSING THE RADIATOR,EXHAUST MANIFOLDS,POWER WINDOW MOTORS,FRONT BUMPER AND EXHAUST. THIS WOULD BE A GOOD PARTS TRUCK,IT HAS ALOT STILL ON THE BONE. TAKE WHAT YOU NEED THE SCRAP THE REST.YOU CAN RECOUP HALF YOUR MONEY BACK.THE WHEELS IN THE PIC ARE GONE JUST HAS ANOTHER SET OF STEEL ONES ON IT.

J.D. Power: Mini, Lexus again offer most satisfying sales experience
Thu, 29 Nov 2012JD Power has released its annual Sales Satisfaction Index Study, and once again Mini and Lexus have taken top honors. Overall, buyers are more satisfied with the auto-buying sales experience than they were last year, with those surveyed reporting an average score of 664 points on a 1,000-point scale. That's up from 648 in 2011. Dealer satisfaction also increased by five points over last year as well.
All told, Lexus brought home an index score of 737, which was high enough to put it atop the luxury brands for the second year in a row. JD Power says Infiniti came in second in that category with a score of 728 and Cadillac rounded out the podium with it's rating of 725. Speaking of Infiniti, that brand saw the single largest jump in sales satisfaction of any brand on the survey, popping up 52 index points over 2011.
Among mass-market brands, Mini ranked highest with a score of 712, followed closely by Buick with 706 and GMC farther down the line with 683. You can check out the full press release below for more information.
General Motors shaking up its marketing... again
Wed, 13 Mar 2013One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")
PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place.
