UP FOR AUCTION IS MY REGULAR CAB GMC SIERRA 2500 (3/4 TON) 4 WHEEL DRIVE WITH THE 6.6 LITRE TURBO DIESEL. AS FAR AS OPTIONS GO IT HAS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, POWER STEERING, POWER ANTI-LOCK FRONT DISC BRAKES, TILT WHEEL, CRUISE CONTROL, REAR SLIDING WINDOW, FACTORY TOW PACKAGE, AM/FM RADIO, FACTORY PLOW PREP PACKAGE W/ FISHER MINUTE MOUNT PLOW AND THAT'S ALL THAT COMES TO MIND. THE TRUCK HAS A LOW 115053 MILES. THAT'S LOW NOT ONLY FOR THE YEAR IT IS BUT ALSO FOR IT BEING A DIESEL. WHEN IT FIRES UP THERE IS A PUFF OF SMOKE THAT IS TYPICAL OF EVERY OTHER DIESEL I'VE EVER OWNED. THE TIRES HAVE LOTS OF TREAD AND CAN'T HAVE TOO MANY MILES. IT ALSO JUST HAD SOME OF THE FRONT AND REAR BRAKE LINES REPLACED AS WELL AS 2 NEW BATTERIES AND FRONT AND REAR BRAKES GONE THROUGH WHICH INCLUDED NEW CALIPERS. AS FAR AS THE BODY ITS ONE OF THE BEST I'VE SEEN FOR THE YEAR. THE DOORS ARE JUST STARTING TO RUST ON THE BOTTOMS...NOT TOO BAD THOUGH. IT HAS A DENT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE RIGHT DOOR AND SMALL DINGS HERE AND THERE WHICH IS TO BE EXPECTED.THE TRUCK HAS NEVER BEEN ABUSED AS FAR AS PLOWING AND HAULING IN FACT THE OLDER GENTLEMAN I BOUGHT IT FROM HAD IT FOR THE LAST DECADE AND ONLY PLOWED HIS SMALL GAS STATION LOT AND HIS OWN DRIVEWAY....THAT'S IT! IN FACT IT'S VERY OBVIOUS ONCE YOU TAKE A RIDE IN IT THAT ITS LIFE THUS FAR HAS BEEN PAMPERED AND UNTYPICAL FOR A 3/4 TO 4X4 DIESEL. THERES NOTHING THAT COMPARES TO PURCHASING FROM AN ELDERLY GENTLEMAN THAT HAS BEEN A MECHANIC HIS WHOLE LIFE! AS FAR AS THE PLOW IT LOOKS AND FUNCTIONS AS PERFECTLY AND AS EQUALLY AS THE TRUCKS EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE. I HAVE ONLY HAD THE TRUCK SINCE JANUARY WHILE I HAD A BID ON ANOTHER TRUCK THAT I LATER ENDED UNBEKNOWNST TO ME. WINNING. I CAN'T KEEP EM BOTH AND THE WAY I USE MY TRUCKS I CAN'T BRING MYSELF TO PUTTING THIS ONE THROUGH THE RINGER. I HOPE THIS WRITE-UP DOESN'T GIVE THE IMPRESSION THAT IT'S OVERPRICED BECAUSE I FEEL I BOUGHT IT REASONABLY AND JUST NEED TO BE RE-IMBURSED. ALSO THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION.

GM recalling Silverado and Sierra HD diesel pickups over fuel gauge follies
Fri, 03 Jan 2014General Motors is recalling 9,733 of its heavy-duty twins over concerns with their 6.6-liter diesel engines and dual fuel tanks. The recall covers some Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickups from model years 2012 and 2013, although the exact dates that the recalled trucks were built isn't specified. There's also no mention of how many models come from Chevrolet and how many are from GMC.
The problem rests with the transfer pump responsible for moving fuel from the rear tank to the front tank - it could fail, resulting in an inaccurate fuel gauge. It hardly requires explaining, but a faulty fuel gauge could leave drivers in a situation where they run out of diesel.
GM will begin notifying customers of affected vehicles, who will be asked to report to their dealers for a free replacement transfer pump.
Forza Horizon announces January Recaro Car Pack with LFA N"urburgring Edition

It'll be up for download on Xbox Live on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 for 400 MS Points. As usual, if you have the Forza Horizon Season Pass you can get them all free, and Season Pass holders will also get a bonus car that's not pictured: the 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster.

GM to make most cars LTE hotspots for 2015
Mon, 25 Feb 2013General Motors isn't the first automaker to deliver in-car Internet access, but a proposed plan announced today could make the technology more widespread than any of its competitors have offered. By the 2015 model year, most Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC products in the US and Canada will offer 4G LTE mobile broadband access. Initially, GM will just be pairing with AT&T to deliver this service, but additional carriers will be revealed in the future.
Current in-car Wi-Fi hot spots are limited to 3G, but GM says that 4G LTE is 10 times faster than 3G service and will allow for full Internet access, including streaming video for entertainment as well as services like real-time traffic updates and navigation driving directions. There is also no need for a paired smartphone with this new system, which should make it easier to use, and GM and AT&T will also be working together to develop new apps for customers.
Buyers can expect to start seeing 4G LTE in their cars starting next year, and GM is already planning to expand the service to other global markets as well. All of the information from GM's announcement is posted in a press release below.
