Kaukauna, Wisconsin, United States

I bought this truck new back in 2011.  (It was originally in my business name and I refinanced it under my name later which is the reason the carfax report shows 2 owners)   It has been a great truck and has been well taken care of.  It was used primarily as my daily driver and to pull my boat on the weekends.  I am selling it because I no longer need a 3/4 ton diesel pickup to meet my needs.  You will not find a nicer used truck than this one.  It has never been smoked in and there have been no accidents.

Additional features:

-Power driver and passenger seats

-Z71 off-road package

-3.73 rear axle ratio

-Tires were replaced 7000 miles ago (same tires as originally came with the truck paperwork included)

-Allison Transmission

-6.6 Duramax Diesel

-Heavy duty trailering package (locking rear differential and integrated trailer brake controller)

-18" Polished Aluminum Wheels

-Power heated camper mirrors with turn signals

-Roof top marker lights

-Bucket seating

-GM snowplow prep package (roof mounted lamp provisions, dual 125 amp alternators, skid plate package)  ******never had a snowplow installed*****

Dealer installed options:

-Truxedo tonneu cover

-GM stainless step tubes

-GM molded mud flaps

-Line-X spray-in bed liner.

The truck currently has 50,300 miles on it but may change a bit since I am periodically driving it while it is for sale.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the truck.  It is located in Kaukauna, WI which is near Appleton. (approximately 30 minutes south of Green Bay)  ****Closest airports are Appleton (ATW) and Green Bay (GRB)

GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.

GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.
