Crew Cab Gmc Sierra 2500 Sle 4x4 Duramax Allison Tranny No Reserve on 2040-cars
Waterbury, Connecticut, United States
For sale we have a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500 SLE 4x4. This truck is a 1 owner, it has a clean carfax report with no accidents and a clean title. The truck was just traded in at the chevy dealer where we got it from. The truck was very well maintained and it runs %100. All the fluids were just done on the truck by the chevy dealer. The 6.6L Duramax Turbo DIESEL engine fires right up and it sounds solid and very healthy. The motor is healthy with no issues. The truck has lots of power and lots of torque to move just about anything! The 06-07's were one of the best years for Duramax's if you looking for power and reliability. The 6 speed allison automatic tranny shifts smoothly thru out all the gears with no issues at all. The 4x4 engages in and out with no issues. The interior is super clean and well kept. The outside body shows some nicks and marks which is normal for a truck this age but over all in good shape. Over all a solid and healthy running Duramax!

The "buy it now or best offer" auction format is beneficial to the buyer and the seller because there is no reason to wait until the last minute to bid on a car. As with most dealers, we select certain vehicles from our inventory and put them ebay. We do not have a lot of employees or a fancy showroom; therefore we can pass the savings to you and offer some of the best prices anywhere. So send us an offer now and we will either accept it, counter it, or decline it. If we counter the offer, you are welcome to accept it or counter back, this process proceeds until the car is sold. Our acceptance is binding so please have your financing ready if you would like to purchase a car. Non-Paying Bidders cost us a great deal of time and money and we employ all recourse that ebay provides to complete a sale. We do not accept trade ins. Please remember this auction will likely NOT last the full duration. As soon as we get an acceptable offer the car will be sold. Using Buy it Now ends the auction immediately. DUE TO A STRING OF NON-PAYING BIDDERS ALL FOREIGN BIDDERS MUST E-MAIL US FIRST TO BE ALLOWED TO BID**** We are not responsible for incurring fees on auctions if you misread the description or change your mind ALL FEEDBACK MUST BE PLACED UPON PICK UP OF VEHICLE. |

GM can't keep up with most popular pickup orders
Mon, 30 Sep 2013With the market for pickup trucks at its best since before the recession, General Motors can't afford any hiccups with the launch of its new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins, but it sounds like the popularity of V8-powered trucks is causing some supply-chain issues. Bloomberg reports that GM is experiencing a shortage of 5.3-liter V8 engines because an unnamed parts supplier has been unable to keep up with demand. This is leading GM to restrict the number of V8 Silverado and Sierra trucks that Chevrolet and GMC dealers are allowed to order.
Although it's unclear how long it will take to resolve the parts shortage, GM doesn't have much time to sort it out, as a new Ford F-150 looms on the horizon. At launch, GM's fullsize trucks were offered only with a base 4.3-liter V6 and the 5.3-liter V8, but a burlier 6.2-liter V8 will be available soon. Interestingly, at least at the moment, GM truck buyers don't seem as willing to downsize to V6 power as buyers of the F-150, which gets some 42-percent of its sales from trucks equipped with its EcoBoost V6 engine (not including the normally aspirated base V6).
Working out the kinks in the Silverado and Sierra's supply chain couldn't be more important to the health of the company. Full-size pickups are a huge profit driver - in 2012, the trucks were said to make up about two-third of GM's total profits.
GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches
Thu, 20 Dec 2012General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.
