2010 Honda Accord Crosstour Exl Hatchback 4-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
Colleyville, Texas, United States
In the 2010 Crosstour, Honda has taken its venerable Accord and made it even better. The Crosstour blends thoughtful design with a more rugged persona, which should allow for plenty of adventures both on the road and off.The Accord Crosstour is available in three trim levels--EX and EX-L in front-wheel drive, and a 4-wheel-drive EX-L. All come powered by an aluminum 271-hp 3.5L V6 that delivers 254 ft-lb of torque and is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. The same engine is also found in the Accord sedan and coupe. It benefits from intelligent Variable Valve Timing (i-VTEC) as well as Variable Cylinder Management, two technologies that are designed to deliver both fuel efficiency and performance. The Crosstour's suspension is also based on that of the Accord sedan, with a double wishbone front setup with upper and lower control links, and an independent multi-link rear suspension. As a result, the vehicle is both athletic and predictable in nearly every cornering situation. The EX rides on 17-inch allow wheels, while the EX-L is fitted with 18-inch alloys. In the EX-L 4-wheel drive model, the system is real time, which means in normal driving conditions, only the front wheels are powered, but it engages when slippage is detected, sending power to where it is most needed. Inside, the Crosstour provides everything one expects from a Honda--enhance ergonomics, comfortable, supportive seating, and high-quality materials. Rear cargo volume with the seat up is nearly 26 cubic feet; with the 60/40 split folding rear down, this increases to just over 51 cubic feet.Exterior standard amenities on all Crosstours include a one-touch power moonroof, security system, fog lights and halogen headlights and rear privacy glass. Inside, all Crosstours benefit from dual-zone automatic climate control, power windows with automatic up/down, steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls, power adjustable front seats, a 360-watt 6-disc in-dash CD 7-speaker stereo, and three 12-volt power outlets. The EX-L is also fitted with Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, leather trim, Homelink, heated front seats, premium speakers, a USB interface and XM satellite radio.Optional accessories include various roof-mount gear carriers, as well as a back-up sensor and remote engine start, while Satellite-Linked Navigation with Voice Recognition is available on both EX-L models.Like all Honda vehicles, the manufacturer has placed a strong emphasis on safety. Standard features include stability and traction control, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, a tire-pressure monitor, active head restraints, and front, front-side, and side curtain airbags

Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.
Honda pulling plug on slow-selling Insight hybrid
Wed, 26 Feb 2014
Insight hasn't amounted to even a tenth of Prius sales, and well over half of those sold were JDM.
It's been a rough ride for the Honda Insight, and now its journey appears to be at an end - word is that the five-door hybrid hatchback is going out of production.
Honda to present HR-V, updated Acura ILX at LA show
Mon, 20 Oct 2014Honda has already showcased its new Fit-based crossover around the world. We've seen it in Tokyo wearing the Vezel name and we've seen it in Paris in 'prototype' form. We've even seen photos of the US-spec version. We just haven't seen that North American model in the flesh, but that'll all be fixed next month at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
That's where Honda will, at long last, unveil the US version of its new HR-V subcompact. The Japanese automaker hasn't told us much else, save to say that the HR-V will, of course, slot in below the CR-V in US showrooms. It'll also feature the company's lauded Magic Seat system, "which allows for multiple seating configurations and the ability to fold the second row seat completely flat for added cargo space."
Alongside the HR-V, Honda's luxury division will also be showcasing a revised version of its ILX sedan at the LA show as well. Acura hasn't revealed precise details of what revisions are in store for its smallest sedan - or a more detailed photo than the teaser inset at right - but it is promising "a comprehensive update that include a potent new powertrain, more forceful, sporty exterior styling and a substantially upgraded interior design."
