Ok guys I got my 2002 V6 Honda Accord EX for sale. I want to be up front with why I am selling this car.  But first off let me say I love this car.  It was the first car I bought with my actual money and it gave me some fun times.  However there have been a few problems which made me to come the conclusion that it was time to let her go.  OK, lets start off with the good stuff.

-Aesthetically the car still is appealing.  The body is in great shape, the interior is leather and still looks very nice (minus a small tear in the driver side seat which is barely visible).
-The engine is a VTEC and has been very well taken care of.  With it's regular tunes ups and oil changes. (no knocks ever, in perfect condition if you ask me).
- Passes its last smog check with flying colors.
-All the electronics work.  Stereo, cd player, power windows, seats, sunroof opens with no problems whatsoever.
-Has all its original carpets as well.
-The mileage is no so bad considering the year of the car.
-Tires still have good tread.  Regularly rotated.
-Quarter of the tank has gas lol.

Ok, now on the the problem at hand.
-I'm selling this car because I don't have any more money to put into it.
-The back tail is broken off.  Tail lights still work perfectly though.
-I drove it up a curb after work a few weeks ago and cause the frame of the car to shift slightly  This is what caused the hose to the radiator to leak.  (BTW I got this info from my local mechanic)  It's how I know this.
-I was given an estimate of about $900 to fix everything from a body shop worker.
-The other problem is that the transmission is a little jerky.  It isn't over bearing but I know somewhere down the line I'd have to get money for a new one or to rebuild the one I had now.  ( I just want to note that the car despite the tranny, which only jerks gearing into first gear, drives perfectly)
-The ac is not working but I think all that really needs is Freon...I think that's how you spell it.

I bought it for $5,000 and I'm sure I won't be getting anywhere near that price lol; However, I hope it can find a new owner who can give it the repairs which I could not.  At the very least, for those of you who know more about cars you have a lot of perfect working parts to pull off for another car.
I have to say it again, She's a great car.  email or text me if you have any questions or need any more photos.  Thanks for viewing.

Honda S660 set for Yokkaichi production next year

Tue, 06 May 2014

Roadsters, you might argue, are best when they're small and nimble. If you're thinking of the Mazda MX-5 Miata, you're on the right track, but there have been even smaller ones: pint-sized, three-cylinder roadsters like the Daihatsu Copen, Suzuki Cappuccino and Smart Roadster. But the most iconic and enduring of them was surely the Honda Beat.
Designed by Pininfarina, the Beat was - not unlike the F40 was for Enzo Ferrari - the last car approved for production by company founder Soichiro Honda. It complied with Japan's strict Kei car regulations and packed a tiny, naturally aspirated 656 cc that produced just 63 horsepower. The cult classic ended production in 1996, but six months ago Honda hinted at a revival with the presentation of the S660 concept at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. Now it seems Honda - or Yachiyo, we should say - is gearing up to put it into production at the same factory that produced the Beat two decades ago.
That plant is the Yokkaichi factory, a facility owned by Yachiyo Industry Co., Ltd. that builds small cars on contract for Honda. It was slated for a major expansion a few years ago until Honda shifted some of its small car production to its own plant in Suzuka, but continues to build the N series of boxy, upright hatchbacks, as well as small commercial vehicles like the Life and Vamos lines. The reintroduction of a small roadster line to the factory's output sometime in 2015 will undoubtedly be a cause for celebration in Yokkaichi. For our part we can only hope that American Honda CEO Tetsuo Iwamura gets his way and manages to bring the S660 to the US in the near future.

Honda to dub Fit-based as HR-V for North America

Sun, 06 Apr 2014

You may remember it as the Urban SUV (pictured above) from when it debuted in concept form at the Detroit Auto Show last year, or know it as the Vezel as the production version was unveiled for the Japanese Domestic Market at the 2014 Tokyo Motor Show. But when Honda starts exporting its new Fit-based crossover - or better yet, building it in Mexico for North American consumption - it will be called the HR-V.
This news comes courtesy of Honda enthusiast forum Temple of VTEC. When contacted by Autoblog, Honda spokesmen declined to comment on the veracity of the report, saying only that it would "announce the name in the near future," but the handle fits with what we know about Honda's history with compact crossovers. The previous HR-V (which was not available in the States) was a high-riding, squared-off crossover built between 1999 and 2006 and based on the Fit's predecessor, the Honda Logo.
While the HR-V moniker might not have name recognition in North America, it would in Europe where Honda also hopes its new crossover will find eager customers. It will also fit in nicely below the CR-V that will continue on as the HR-V's larger stablemate.

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]

Mon, 27 May 2013

If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
