This Honda  (2000) CR-V --EX is in excellent condition  -- -one owner until May 2013 at which time I purchased it from a retired couple in The Villages Fl. where we also live in the winter.  Two days after we bought the car we parked it in our garage and drove north for the summer where we are now and the Honda is in Florida. We live north of Corning NY but will return to Florida the end of September.

We had plans to use this Honda this coming winter but purchased a 2012 Chev. Cruze which we are driving down for the winter and will sell the Honda.  For a 2000 Honda on the scale of 1-10, this is a 10  -----A/C is cold  ----cruise works  ---interior is in excellent condition---tires look great ---  battery is probably 4 to 5 years old so it will probably  will need a battery.  The original owner gave us all his maintenance records from day one---very well maintained vehicle.

I feel there are at least 100,000 miles left in this Honda and should bring $3,900  to $4,400.  It is in Florida ---- but this would be an excellent car for  New England --or upstate New York where they get lots of snow.  We are 55 miles northwest of Orlando and there is a shuttle service which runs 6-8 times/day at the cost of $35 each.  I am starting at $3,100  --------------  $1,000 deposit within 24 hours and balance within 48 hours.

If you have any questions - call Jack at 607-227-5700.

Honda NM4 concept motorcycles channel Akira

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

Honda has rolled out a pair of new motorcycle concepts at the Osaka Motorcycle Show in its home market of Japan, and they're our first glimpse at the company's "neo-futuristic" NM4. Shown in both stealthy black and an eye-catching white, the NM4s are sharp creations that feature interesting riding positions.
Honda calls the concepts' seating "the cockpit position," claiming that it unifies bike with rider. We don't know about that, but we will admit that compared to most sportbike seats - which are more or less just bits of padding to squeeze between your legs - these bikes' saddles look more or less like conventional seats. Honda says that their backrests are adjustable, which should provide a comfortable riding experience. Still, with these bikes' sporting looks, we can't imagine their low seats are going to be great for dipping knees through the bends (although the should lower the center of gravity, so perhaps it's a wash).
Both show bikes, NM4-01 and NM4-02, are powered by 745-cc, two-cylinder engines, while dual-clutch transmissions are employed to dispatch unspecified amounts of power to their wide rear tires. The bikes are nearly identical save for different colors, but the NM4-02 features an integral set of hard panniers for increased utility. We've got a gallery of both, so hop up above and take a look. You can also scroll down for a brief press release from Honda.

Honda invests $215M in Ohio Earth Dreams production

Fri, 09 Aug 2013

Honda has announced a $215 million investment in a pair of its Ohio operations, taking its total tally for North American operations up to $2.7 billion in three years. The announcement was made at the 2013 Center For Automotive Research Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City.
$180 million of the investment is earmarked for Honda's Anna, OH engine plant. The money will allow the facility to increase its aluminum die casting and increase production of Honda's Earth Dreams Technology engines. Think of Earth Dreams as sort of like Mazda's Skyactiv line, only ED is limited to a new line of engines, rather than a full suite of automotive components. Anna will also be getting a new technical center to train engineers, techs, and line workers on powertrain technology.
The remaining $35 million is slated for Honda's main Ohio operations in Marysville. A 160,000-square-foot facility will be constructed near Honda's current properties, which will house another technical training center to focus on automotive manufacturing. The new building will also house Honda's North American Services group, as well as a new heritage center.

Is Honda working on airbags for smartphones?

Wed, 04 Dec 2013

Smartphones are expensive yet delicate - a single impact on a hard surface can shatter their touchscreens, often damaging them beyond repair. Fitting a case offers only so much protection, but what about an airbag? Honda has explored the concept with the airbag-equipped Case N and even made a video about it. But alas, it isn't real.
For some reason, we really want it to be. Honda has a knack for surprising us with nearly unbelievable inventions designed to improve mankind's quality of life, contraptions like the Walking Assist Device and the UNI-CUB personal mobility devices, so the Case N isn't as far-fetched an idea for the company as you might think.
Head below to watch the video, where you can see the Case N concept in action. You'll also see its generous proportions, which is one reason why it's just a case of Honda humor - not (yet) a market reality.
