The photos speak for the condition. No, I did not steam clean the engine compartment prior to taking potos. It's dusty.
The tires (all 5) are slightly upsized... they are 215/70 instead of stock 205/70.
I CD is a 6 CD changer. However, I also have a mounting kit I will include if anyone wants to yank the Stock Honda system and put in their own stereo.. We decided not to do it and never used the kit. It has a dash cover for protection.
There are no cracks, It's just that I didn't want any to develop from the hot Sonoran sun.
Photos don't show, but there is a pig tail for tr'ailer lighting that was part of the tr'ailer hitch install.
One glitch is the power lock button doesn't lock the drivers door (will unlock, but not lock), so you have to lock the drivers door with the key. I suspect it's the lock solenoid, but it's been a non-issue for the last year with me.
I don't think I can add much. I have a stack of receipts about 2" thick of everything ever done to the car. The original owners hailed from Schenectady New York. I purchased it while (2010?) Back East on a Project, as the condition was impecable. I drove it across country (many of such trips) to Arizona (it's been Maine to California).
We've taken it on many road trips, national parks, coastal drives, disaster relief campaigns, etc...even into Mexico. When the car had it's 10 year anniversary, we started to make some well deserved repairs. (see the description for specifics)
We have enjoyed the car immensely. We will be spending more time in Mexico (escape winters altogether). If this car were eligible for importation (it's not, being manufactured in Japan, rather than one of the NAFTA partners), we would keep it indefinitely. But, we will sell it and purchase an auto here in Mexico.
We will run this auction for 7 days. The buyer can take delivery in Tucson Arizona. I will expect a deposit of $500 within 2 days of the conclusi'on of the auction.

Honda HR-V gets early reveal
Mon, 17 Nov 2014If the Honda HR-V feels awfully familiar to you by now, you're not alone. We've seen it debut in Japanese form (dubbed "Vezel"), caught a prototype in Paris, and Honda first showed us the US-spec version in press-photo form all the way back at the New York Auto Show in April. We're finally going to get all the details on Honda's new subcompact crossover this week as part of the Los Angeles Auto Show, but first, we're getting an early look at the CUV today.
We met the Honda HR-V for a cup of coffee this morning at Randy's Donuts just outside of Los Angeles, and got our first look at the new CUV in the metal. It's a handsome little thing, offering a higher-riding, more butch alternative to the Fit hatchback on which it's based. We particularly like how the rear door handles are integrated into the pillars, for an almost three-door look from some angles.
Technical details are still scarce as of this writing, though we expect those to be revealed during Honda's press conference on Wednesday. For now, we just know that the HR-V should be an incredibly practical little thing, using the Magic Seat system that has made the Fit such a versatile and capacious subcompact. Stay tuned for more, and see the HR-V from all angles in our live gallery, above.
2014 Honda Ridgeline keeps on truckin' with new special edition model
Fri, 06 Sep 2013Like many smaller trucks, the Honda Ridgeline has been left to stagnate on the market for far too many years. With production of the current model reportedly winding down later next year before production of the next-gen model picks up in 2016, Honda is sending the 2014 Ridgeline out with some style courtesy of a new Special Edition trim level.
The new Ridgeline SE essentially adds cues from the Ridgeline Sport to the luxurious RTL trim level. The means features like black-trimmed 18-inch alloys and matching interior trim arrives as a no-cost option. This new model carries the same starting price as the RTL at $37,505 (*not including $830 for destination), and all other trim level pricing is carried over unchanged from the 2013 model year. The new SE model won't be available until November, and it is not pictured in the image galleries (all of which seem to be identical to previous model years).
Speaking of carryover products, Honda has also released pricing for the unchanged 2014 Pilot and 2014 Acura TL, which will continue to be priced from $29,670 and $36,030, respectively (Acura's destination charge is $890). Scroll down for press releases on the 2014 Ridgeline, Pilot and TL.
Honda thumbs nose at fleet sales, claims it leads in key vehicle segments
Tue, 30 Jul 2013Fleet sales are a way of life in the automotive industry. There are many non-retail customers that need vehicles, but going too far can reduce brand image and vehicle resale value. While some of its competitors have fleet sale that account for up to 20 or 30 of overall sales, Honda is bragging that it has the lowest fleet sales of all mainstream automakers for the first five months of 2013.
After calculating new-car registration data from R.L. Polk, Honda says that just two percent of its sales through went to fleet customers compared to an industry average of 19 percent. Even though this means Honda leaves plenty of sales on the table each month, it also claims to have the highest resale value and lowest cost of ownership among its competitors. In terms of retail sales, Honda says that the Civic, Accord, CR-V and Odyssey all lead their respective segments, and it breaks down/brags about its retail sales success in the press release, which is posted below.
