Selling my 1988 Honda CRX SI.

Sunroof, Stainless steel exhaust system, Chrome butterfly rims, Spoiler, Tinted Back windows. Upgraded stereo system with dual 10" subwoofers and Disc CD player.

I have owned it since July. 2004 and drove it on weekends during the summer totaling less than 20,000 miles over nine years. About 1800 miles per year. I take care of my vehicles. This CRX has no rust. New timing belt.

All scheduled maintenance, Always garaged, Excellent condition, Never seen snow.

Car comes with two original black keys, they work in both doors and the rear hatch aswell.

Tires are 1 year old with 90% tread remaining. All same brand and car comes with the original spare tire.

Headlights work well and turning signals. The inside light does not come on for some reason. The wipers work well, there is no windshield wiper fluid inside the car due to never driving the car in rain or snow, I thought it would be better to keep it empty. The A/C and heater work well, but the knob is broken so it cannot turn the rod inside to make it go cold or hot. The car is currently insured and registered in California and passes smog. It is registered until June 2014.

The buyer is responsible for pickup of the vehicle. The car is also being sold locally.

If you have any questions concerning this vehicle please ask and I will answer to the best of my ability.

This CRX has never been smoked in and no animals have been inside, also no accidents have occurred in this vehicle.

There was a crack in the passenger door by the handle that we had fixed and re-painted. It is only visible if you know about the crack.

**Car antenna Does not retract into the car. Paint chipping under driver and passenger doors. Couple chips of paint missing in front of car. Heater Dial broke. Some paint chipping inside door handle (driver and passenger and glove box paint chipping).

Honda promises all-new Ridgeline within two years

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

Despite an aging design and low sales, Honda has remained committed to its Ridgeline pickup truck. Now, in its first official confirmation of a next-gen Ridgeline, Honda has released a teaser sketch (click to enlarge) of the new truck and promised a debut within two years, as previously reported.
The sketch shows the direction that Honda is planning for its new truck, which appears to ditch the single-piece body in favor of a more conventional pickup truck design. Even with the new design, it's not clear if Honda will move away from the Ridgeline's car-based platform shared with the Odyssey, Pilot and Accord. Sales of the Ridgeline dipped to below 10,000 units in 2011 but have increased steadily over the last two years (including 29 percent so far in 2013) with slightly more than 16,000 units on the year.
As for the current Ridgeline, Honda will wind down production at the Lincoln, AL assembly plant sometime during the middle of next year. The press release for the announcement is posted below.

Honda Civic Type R Concept to hatch in Geneva

Wed, 12 Feb 2014

As if the Geneva Motor Show isn't exciting enough, now we have word that a new version of a certain iconic Japanese hot hatch will make an appearance there in a few weeks time. Honda has announced that its Civic Type R Concept will be revealed during the show's media days, which take place March 4 and 5.
Since this is Honda we're talking about, we should point out that the "Concept" part of the Civic Type R's name is usually a bit of a misnomer. For the past few years, the Japanese automaker has made a habit of attaching "Concept" to the end of several near-production models in the name of drumming up auto show excitement (see Exhibits A, B, C, D and E). So really, this is almost certainly the next Civic Type R, a car we've kind of already driven.
The latter car was a "development" model, but we aren't expecting a lot to change between it and the production model. As previously reported, a 2.0-liter, turbocharged engine should deliver north of 280 horsepower to the front wheels via a six-speed gearbox. Have a look up top at the sole image of the hot Civic released by Honda, and then scroll down for the official press release.

Honda to power new Formula Lites open-wheel racing series

Sun, 18 May 2014

Open-wheel racing is almost always incredibly exciting to watch, whether it's the constant passing of the Indy 500 on an oval or the technological tour-de-force from Formula 1. However, both of those disciplines are essentially impossible for a normal person to enter. Of course, there are already cheaper, more amateur-friendly open-wheel competitions, like Formula Vee. A new SCCA Pro Racing series called Formula Lites aims to be a step in the ladder between those, offering a development opportunity to young drivers who want to be professionals.
The series already has some impressive backers. One of the biggest needs is now filled, as Honda has signed on as the engine supplier. All of the cars in Formula Lites will use the company's K24 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. The automaker didn't specify power output for the competition engine, but in production models the K24 has made in the neighborhood of 190-200 horsepower in many applications. That should make the racers plenty potent.
All of the cars are using the new carbon fiber FL15 chassis from Crawford Composites, and Pirelli is the series' tire supplier. The organizers' goal for the cars is to keep racing costs down, while offering a reliable platform. Formula Lites plans to start racing with a few events later in 2014, and the full calendar begins in 2015. Scroll down to read the full announcement about Honda's involvement.
