Up for bid! This is a cool old little project, 1977 Honda CVCC hatchback that is mostly all original and in pretty good shape really. Mostly all complete minus trim on top of roof. Car shows 51k miles, I do not know if it is actual. Judging by the interior it could be! Body is mostly straight with a couple dings here and there. Nothing really hard to bang out. The car has good glass all the way around. Pretty solid to, rockers, floor, and trunk look really solid. When they took the trim off the roof, they didnt fill the holes so that needs a little attention. I have not spent much time trying to get running. Before I posted it I wanted to clarify if motor turned which she does! Im sure she needs gas lines cleaned, and tank cleaned. I think she needs a new ignition because it wouldnt turn with key, my freind jumped the starter solenoid. And she turned! I was told she was a runner many years ago, but shes been sitting. So You are Buying the car in As-is condition. The car is one of the coolest old CVCC styles ive seen was definetely one of the higher models with a automatic transmission and factory hood. And front disk brakes! The interior is actually in pretty nice shape. back seat on top is rough, but back of seat, and bottom in good shape. The front seats are in awesome shape no tears. All in all a great little project for someone. Im not a mechanic, and just need the money. I have a clean title. Buyer pays shipping. OR you are welcome to pick up in person. I will sell worldwide! Buyer must pay within 3 days of end of auction. Please note optima battery does not come with car! Again selling as-is just the way she is sitting is how you get her! Call me at 541.301.6862 with questions. Thanks and shes priced to sell! good luck!

The cars that won't live to see 2015 [w/video]
Wed, 23 Jul 2014Every year in the fast-paced automotive industry brings new models, but it also spells the end for some that have been less successful. This year will be no exception.
Japan's automakers make up the bulk of the list of discontinued models for the 2015 model year: Acura is replacing the TL and TSX with the new TLX sedan, Honda is bidding farewell to the Fit EV as the new Fit hatchback takes its place, and Nissan is saying goodbye to both the Cube and Murano CrossCabriolet. Both the Nissan Maxima and Mazda2 exit stage left before their upcoming replacements arrive, while Toyota is terminating the RAV4 EV and FJ Cruiser as well as the Scion xD, and Lexus IS C and IS F that are being effectively replaced by the new RC. Meanwhile Infiniti is finally discontinuing the G37 that was already replaced by the newer Q50.
From our own domestic automakers, Cadillac discontinues the CTS-V sedan and wagon as the new CTS rolls in, Chevy is canceling the mild-hybrid Eco versions of the Malibu and Impala sedans, and Chrysler is killing off the 200 convertible as the new 200 sedan arrives.
Honda's next-gen fuel cell concept will debut in LA, along with more Civic updates
Mon, 11 Nov 2013Honda is bringing a new concept to the this month's Los Angeles Auto Show called the FCEV Concept. "FCEV" stands for something, and no, it's not "funky chicken earns victory" or other such nonsense - it's short for fuel-cell electric vehicle, a market that Honda has played in, most recently, with its hydrogen-powered FCX Clarity.
The FCEV is nothing more than a styling exercise (click above to enlarge the sketch) for an eventual production fuel-cell vehicle set to hit US and Japanese dealers in 2015 (sorry Europe, you're stuck waiting). It's not heading to LA to tell us anything about the wider application of the technology used in the FCX Clarity, so fans of hydrogen power shouldn't get too excited. Still, the news that Honda is still pondering a wider-spread for its fuel-cell technology is quite exciting.
"The Honda FCEV Concept demonstrates the company's vision for the future of personal mobility and our commitment to developing advanced alternative fuel vehicles. As we work toward the introduction of our next-generation fuel-cell vehicle in 2015, our long-term experience with fuel-cell technologies will help us pave a way towards a zero-emissions future," said Mike Accavitti, senior vice president of American Honda.
Honda to field this awesome Civic Tourer wagon in BTCC next season
Tue, 03 Dec 2013We all know that the letters BTCC stand for British Touring Car Championship. But one of those Cs might as well stand for Civic, so dominant has the Honda team been in one of the most competitive tin-top racing series in the world. Honda has taken the manufacturers' and teams' titles in the BTCC for the past four years running, and the championship-winning drivers for the past three years have claimed the prize behind the wheel of a Civic. While that might have proven enough for any other manufacturer, Honda is returning again next season to defend its dominant position, and has just revealed the new car with which it intends to do so.
Next year Honda will be back on the grid with another Civic, only this time it's based on the new Euro-spec Civic Tourer. That will make Honda the only team in the BTCC (and one of only a few worldwide) fielding a wagon-based racing car. In announcing the new BTCC-spec Civic Tourer, the Honda Yuasa Racing team only released this one photo and didn't reveal much in the way of details, but team manager Peter Crolla indicated that "the weight, wheelbase, layout and suspension remain the same" as the hatchback which it will replace, only with a longer roofline.
Testing of the new touring wagon will commence in January before returning champions Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal will pilot the new Civic Tourer in the season opener at Brands Hatch in the UK in late March. It remains to be seen what car Andrew Jordan (who took the title this year in another Civic with the Pirtek Racing team) will be driving next season, but in the meantime, you can check out the full press release below for more.
