Whether you consider it vintage, calssic or just an old car, this '87 Honda Civic is a good example of car you just don't see many of anymore. In addition to having low mileage, this Civic is a also a one owner car from North Carolina. It has no rust and is in good original condition. The nose and hood are beginning to fade but the majority of the paint is still good. The interior is also very good, expecially the dash. Thr trim level is DX, making it one up from the base, but it's still a pretty basic car inside. Everything works as it should. We updated the radio as the old one didn't work. This is very complete car. All of the orginal peices are here - owners books, factory shop manual, window sticker, 3 keys, jack, tools, cargo cover etc. This car did not run very well when we bought it due to the carburator being worn out. We have replaced the carb, the thermostat, changed the valve cover gasket, changed the oil, flushed the brakes, performed a state inspection and given it some general tlc. The end result is a car that runs and drives shockingly well for its age. It starts right up, has enough power, shifts smoothly, rides and handles predictably and get the job done - all while getting great gas mileage. Due to the age, we cannot offer financing. Our vehicles are prepared for sale by Foreign Accents, and are located in the front section of the Foreign Accents parking lot. We are committed to offering clean, properly serviced, fairly priced automobiles. We assist with financing when possible and also have a Certied Pre-Owned program that extends the warranty coverage on some of our newer inventory. Please call or email us for more details.

Next Honda Ridgeline to eschew weird visuals, go mainstream?
Wed, 08 Oct 2014Last year, Honda gave us the first furtive glance at the next-generation Ridgeline with a shadowy photo of it in profile (above), and it promised that the pickup would "come to market in less than two years." That would have put the truck on track for a 2015 debut, but the automaker hasn't said anything more officially about the new model since then.
A new report from USA Today might shed some new light on the mysterious model. It claims that the next Ridgeline has more conventional pickup styling than the original model in a bid to conquest some buyers. You can get that feeling from the sketch, which appears to showing something far more traditional than the unorthodox original Ridgeline, whose odd tapering bedsides terminated in a double-hinged tailgate.
USA Today goes on to claim that the new Ridgeline will go on sale around late 2015 or early 2016. That's a bit later than expected, but fits with an earlier rumor.
Total auto recalls already on record pace in 2014
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you've noticed that there have been more recalls than usual this year, you may be on to something. According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the US market is on pace to break a record for recalls. In 2013, 22 million cars were recalled. We're only a third of the way through 2014, though, and we've already halved that figure, with 11 million units recalled. That's wild.
Considering the past few months, it shouldn't be a surprise that General Motors is leading the charge, with six million of the 11 million units recalled coming from one of the General's four brands. Between truck recalls, CUV recalls and the ignition switch recall, 2014 hasn't been a great year for GM.
Other recall leaders include Nissan (one million Sentra and Altima sedans), Honda (900,000 Odyssey minivans), Toyota (over one million units in a few recalls), Volkswagen (150,000 Passat sedans), Chrysler (644,000 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs) and most recently, Ford (434,000 units, the bulk of which were early Ford Escape CUVs). So while it's been a bad year for GM so far, its competitors aren't doing too well, either.
Honda favoring turbo over hybrid for US-market Vezel
Fri, 20 Dec 2013While Honda gears up to unveil the new Fit to the US market at the Detroit Auto Show next month, back in its home market, the car's crossover cousin is just going on sale. The Vezel was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show last month and already has a three-month waiting list in Japan, where Honda projects that 90 percent of customers will opt for the hybrid version. Not so in the United States, however.
When the Vezel reaches American showrooms, there'll be a number of key differences. For starters, it will carry a different name, though Honda isn't saying what that will be. For another, it will be built for North American consumption at Honda's new plant in Mexico, roughly half of whose production capacity is reportedly being allocated to the new crossover. And finally, it'll have a different engine.
In Japan the Vezel is being offered with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, with or without electric assist. Honda won't offer the hybrid version here - at least not initially - but it is preparing to offer a turbo option. Although it has yet to announce US specifications and options, the 1.5-liter turbo four (also unveiled at the Tokyo show) is considered a stronger likelihood than the 1.0- or 2.0-liter versions.
