I bought this vehicle to use during the winter while my diesel was parked in a garage. I ended up fixing it through the winter and not having a car at all. This car should only be purchased by someone interested in Hondas and someone who wants to do more with it. Although it can be driven on the road now it has the potential to be an amazing car and should be purchased by someone who wants to do more with it.
The car has been painted and rust was removed with bondo added, it will need another paint job (see pictures). The interior is in acceptable shape, pretty stripped, no radio or speakers. It is a manual and has cable clutch - if you have not driven a car like this be aware it drives differently. The cooling fan was not attached after the engine swap, I added a manual toggle switch inside the cab to turn it on and off. The car had an fuel/air issue and an idle issue that caused the engine not to work - I fixed this over the winter and it has not given me any issues since. As far as I know the car has been in no accidents. The car as many aftermarket parts in it, but still passed inspection last year with the additions. The cars treads are medium-low and will need new tires to pass inspection (NYS). VTEC bypasses the computer and is on a switch in the cab. Previous owner did this, it seems to work when I drive it down the road. Please email me with any questions or more/detailed pictures. I ended up fixing the honda all winter instead and my mercedes is back on the road and I have no use for this vehicle anymore. Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment
Thu, 20 Mar 2014One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.

Honda recalling 204k CR-V, Odyssey, Acura RDX models over rollaway risk
Fri, 19 Apr 2013Honda has announced a recall over a possible rollaway risk that affects 204,169 crossover and minivan models. The specific vehicles in question are the 2012-13 Honda CR-V and Odyssey, as well as the 2013 Acura RDX.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "the brake-shift interlock blocking mechanism may become slow and allow the gear selector to be moved from the Park position without pressing the brake pedal." In other words, these vehicles could unintentionally roll away.
NHTSA states that this scenario may only happen during sub-freezing temperatures, but notes that this means the vehicles fail to conform with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 114: Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. Honda will notify owners of the problem, and dealerships will install an updated interlocking mechanism free of charge.
McLaren collaborating with Honda future road cars?
Fri, 02 Aug 2013McLaren and Honda may expand their alliance beyond the world of Formula 1, according a report from the UK's Autocar, which quotes McLaren CEO Martin Whitmarsh.
Citing the multi-year deal, Whitmarsh remarked at last weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix, "It's a pure Formula 1 contract, but we've already been looking at automotive technology and we're sharing that very openly. Our road car strategy at the moment has no other automotive partner and Honda would be a good place to collaborate."
Still, we wouldn't count on seeing a McLaren-Honda road car in the near future. According to Autocar, McLaren's road-car division is already tied up working on a rival for the Porsche 911, called the P13.
