Hello you are bidding on a very nice but damaged 2010 Honda Insight LX. The vehicle has 26,370 miles on it. The car sustained damage to the right front of the vehicle. The car has not been pulled on, tore down or tampered with. The vehicle does come with good right headlight. The frame rails appear to have no damage, the right inner structure that hangs down behind the right taillight is pushed in under the corner of the right fender. The radiator and ac condenser are good, and the radiator core support piece also appears to be ok. The vehicle will need both airbags, right fender, front bumper cover and misc mounting clips and hardware. The parts are available for sale on car-part or on www ebay com. First production HondaJet nearly completed
Tue, 20 May 2014We may mention Honda around here mostly for its cars, but the Japanese industrial giant makes a whole lot more than that. The company builds motorcycles, ATVs, marine engines, power equipment and - soon enough - jet airplanes.
Honda has been working on its first private jet since before 2006, and after a good eight years or so of prototype testing, began building its first production version a bit over a year ago. And now it's almost ready for delivery.
The first production HondaJet is nearing completion and has had its GE Honda HF120 jet engines installed, after which it will conduct initial ground tests before taking its first flight this summer. The jet is painted in a new shade of pearl green with a gold stripe, added to the color catalog alongside the silver, red, yellow and blue options.
Honda exec says US market near capacity, could hurt subprime buyers
Thu, 21 Aug 2014Is there a point in the US auto industry where companies should start considering the welfare of their customers ahead of selling more cars? American Honda Executive Vice President of Sales John Mendel thinks that level exists, and we may be getting very close to it.
According to Automotive News, Mendel believes that finding more customers in the market could require pursuing subprime buyers and offering longer-term loans. However, he refuses to use those tactics. While selling models this way can improve things briefly, the strategies hurt resale prices and lower vehicle profits over time. The company won't do "stupid things in the short-term that damage the person who bought yesterday," he said to Automotive News. "It's a very, very short-term tactic especially in the subprime area."
American Honda, which combines the Acura and Honda brands, has seen market share decline from 9.7 percent to 9.1 percent through July 2014, according to Automotive News, and Autoblog's By the Numbers stats showed it posted falling sales in five of the seven months with data this year. Though, Mendel claims that was partially because the company focused on retail sales over fleets. The delays of the launches for the Honda Fit and Acura TLX likely didn't help either.
Honda fielding 11 entrants at Pikes Peak, including 532-hp Odyssey
