We are selling our family hauler! We are the third owners of this great 1999 Honda Odyssey. We've had it since 2006 and it's never done us wrong. The van does show some of the signs of being 14 years old and has the compliment of minor dents and dings. It also has a minor leak on the front valve cover but it's never been low on oil when I've had it changed. We have all the service records and have had the oil changed religiously. The factory stereo has been replaced with a Pioneer head unit that's iPod compatable. The tires are Falken's that have between 75-85% of their life left. Wiper blades are brand new. The interior is almost showroom spotless! Front and rear air. Third row of seats fold into the floor and the second row captains chairs come out super easy. It's equiped with both front and rear towing capabilities. Front towing hitches are to enable this vehicle be pulled behind an RV as a runaround car. The rear towing hitch has proper electrical plugs for light towing. The van does have some minor issues. The cruise control does not work. It's either a fuse or the control unit. Passenger side power door motor has been tripped. The dealer can reset it for about $70 or if I have time I'll see if there's a solution on the interweb. Keyless entry works perfect some of the time. Sometimes it doesn't. Probably just needs a new remote fob. In the end it's a clean van that runs like a top.

Andretti Autosport switches to Honda power
Tue, 22 Oct 2013The IndyCar grid was split pretty evenly this season between Honda and Chevy power. Thing is, most of the front-running teams have been running Chevrolet engines. Except for Chip Ganassi Racing, the team that fields the likes of Ryan Briscoe, Scott Fixon and Dario Franchitti - but earlier this month Chip Ganassi announced it was switching to Chevy engines too, just like most of the other pack-leading teams.
Honda insisted it didn't need a flagship team to replace Ganassi, but that's exactly what it announced this weekend with the signing of Andetti Autosport. The team run by Michael Andretti won a few IndyCar Series titles under Honda power (in 2004, 2005 and 2007), and two Indy 500 wins (in 2005 and 2007), but switched to the Bowtie two seasons ago, winning the championship last season. But the vast majority of the team's victories - 39 out of 48 race wins - have been powered by Honda, and the two outfits undoubtedly hope they'll return to the winner's circle again with their new multi-year partnership that takes effect next season.
Honda recalls nearly 350k Odyssey minivans over unintended braking
Sun, 03 Nov 2013A problem reported with the Vehicle Safety Assist System has prompted Honda and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to issue a recall for Odyssey minivans from the 2007 and 2008 model years.
The issue revolves around a combination of parts and software that have been reported to cause the vehicle to brake hard and unexpectedly, without illuminating the brake lights. Imagine driving behind one of these vehicles when the malfunction occurs and you can easily understand how an unexpected rear-end collision could ensue.
Unfortunately, Honda won't be able to fix the problem until next spring, at which point the manufacturer will call in the 344,187 units affected into their local dealership for a fix. In the meantime, Honda will instruct owners on how to avoid the situation. For further details, see the full recall notice below.
Tier 1 suppliers call GM the worst OEM to work with
Mon, 12 May 2014Among automakers with a big US presence, General Motors is the worst to work for, according to a new survey from Tier 1 automotive suppliers, conducted by Planning Perspectives, Inc.
The Detroit-based manufacturer, which has been under fire following the ignition switch recall and its accompanying scandal, finished behind six other automakers with big US manufacturing operations. Suppliers had issues with trust and communications, as well as intellectual property protection. GM was also the least likely to allow suppliers to raise their prices in the face of unexpected increases in material cost, all of which contributed to 55 percent of suppliers saying their relationship with GM was "poor to very poor."
GM's cross-town competitors didn't fare much better. Chrysler finished in fifth place, ahead of GM and behind Dearborn-based Ford, which was passed for third place this year by Nissan. Toyota took the top marks, while Honda captured second place.
