Honda S2000 Rare Triple Blue 2004 All Original Garaged Driven Nice Weather Only on 2040-cars
New Fairfield, Connecticut, United States
Honda S2000 All Original 2004 Suzuka Blue with all blue interior panels, dash and blue leather seats ( only available for 2 model years with AP2 ), optional factory installed original blue convertible top makes this a rare triple blue car. Garaged kept. All Stock, no modifications.
The exterior paint still glistens. Car has all numbers matching, no accident, no body work, all stock. Clean car fax, title free and clear. There is a minor not deep but subtle dimple on passenger side that you will be hard pressed to find. There are a few minor stone chips with touch up paint. There is a small scuff on the rear plastic bumper and minor curb rash under the front plastic spoiler. Oem rims are very good and shine with some minor scratches, Interior is excellent, floor mat carpets like new, leather seats are in very good condition and still supple. Everything works as it should. AC is cold. Clutch feel is correct, shifts smoothly, idle's perfect. Mechanically sound, runs and drives like new, flawless, needs nothing.
The car has always been adult driven, never been raced or abused. Driven in nice weather only. The car has never needed repairs. Which is a testament to Honda and speaks to how the car has been driven and cared for. Replaced tires with Oem Bridgestone. New battery. Recent brakes. Always use Synthetic Mobil One oil, as did prior owner. Original factory S2000 whole car cover and convertible rear tonneau cover. All Honda manuals. Last oil change Honda dealer said no maintenance was needed at that time.
History: The car was first leased and used for two summers for only 5k miles and returned to Honda dealer and sold as a certified pre-owned car. Purchased by an older gent that put another 4k driving mainly to country club, he always kept garaged and never even waxed the car as he believed only in hand washing. I purchased car with 9k miles in mint condition. I owned the car for a little over 4 years and have put mainly easy highway and back road miles. Truly driven like a gentlemen would. Sincerely, it is rare occasion that I rev near enough for the VTEC 2nd cams to kick in. That said this car will provide thrills when wanted. It is the most race like feel than any in its class. I've had some fun sporty cars over the years and I'm going to truly miss this car and still having second thoughts, however Back injury is forcing sale. Will be happy to bring to dealer for an evaluation. Price Firm. You will not be disappointed.

Cafe racer motorbikes storm Japan
Fri, 22 Nov 2013Japan may be best known, at least among motorcycle enthusiasts, for its sport bikes. But as we found at the Tokyo Motor Show this year, Japanese motorcycle manufacturers are capable of producing all kinds of motorbikes. And to our delight, that includes cafe racers.
Along with the myriad electric bikes, dirt bikes, crotch rockets and scooters, the halls of Tokyo's Big Site convention center this year were full of the retro-infused rides we love. Chief among them was the Bolt (shown above) which Yamaha exhibited alongside their various electric two-wheelers, sporting a delicious metallic blue paintjob, inverted handlebars and hanging mirrors, machined metal bits, blacked-out trim and saddle brown leatherwork.
Honda was also on hand with a new EX version of its '70s-style CB1100 retro roadster in sinister and low-key matte black. And this was our first chance to check out BMW Motorrad's new birthday present to its 90-year-old self, the R NineT, a model recently unveiled at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. But one of the most amusing retro rides we came across was the Honda Monkey Limited, a mini bike that makes the new 125cc Grom (which was displayed alongside it) look positively gigantic.
IIHS says these are the safest cars of 2013
Wed, 02 Jan 2013The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has revealed its annual list of Top Safety Picks, an award that highlights automobiles it says offer "superior crash protection." A new and still more significant award, the Top Safety Pick+ honor, is given to those vehicles that earn good ratings for occupant protection in four out of five areas of measure. And while some 117 vehicles were given the TSP seal of approval for 2013, just 13 passed muster for TSP+.
To be fair, IIHS only evaluated 29 vehicles with its new testing procedures for TSP+ (we'd expect that the number of qualified cars will rise substantially for 2014). Luxury and Near Luxury midsize cars were the first groups evaluated, followed by midsizers in the Moderately Priced Cars category - unsurprisingly, it's only midsize cars that you'll find among the class this year.
Only two luxury sedans made the list of 13 for 2013: the Acura TL and Volvo S60. The other 11 cars on the list included entries from domestic, Japanese and German car makers: Dodge Avenger, Chrysler 200, Ford Fusion, Honda Accord (sedan and coupe), Kia Optima (but not its close kin, the Hyundai Sonata, strangely), Nissan Altima, Subaru Legacy and Outback, Suzuki Kizashi and the Volkswagen Passat all made the grade.
Honda celebrates the life of Ayrton Senna the best way it knows how
Fri, 26 Jul 2013Honda is returning to Formula One in 2015 with McLaren, and when that engine maker and that F1 constructor are mentioned together, two other words are never far behind: Ayrton Senna. There are engine suppliers, constructors and drivers that have bigger numbers, but those three form a triumvirate that came close to defining F1 in the eighties.
Honda Japan has produced a commercial called Sound of Honda that celebrates Senna at a race that turned out to be one of the most momentous of his career for good and bad reasons: the 1989 grand prix at Suzuka where he won, then was stripped of, the driver's championship.
The commercial has a terrifically simple premise - there's no CG, no old footage of Senna, no one says a word, it's just sound. And it's pretty damn good. Check it out below.
