For sale is my 1995 Hummer H1 Wagon. It has 89,xxx miles on the 6.5 liter N/A diesel. It runs extremely well and has no problem cruising on the highway at 70mph. You don't have to worry about any of the cracked block issues with this setup. You will get more attention driving this than any sportscar on the road. This hummer has been repainted to the current tan color. It was previously white. Interior color is gray leather. I have recent receipts for close to $4,000 worth of recent work. All the seals and fluids have been replaced within the last 6 months. Most of the front steering gear has been replaced because of wear and tear. The front upper balls joint, lower ball joints, pitman arm, idler arm, inner and outer tie rod ends all were replaced in Aug '12. Contact me if you are interested in seeing the receipts. The batteries and starter are also brand new. The A/C system does blow warm and needs to be upgraded to a new model year system, this is a problem that all 1998 and back have. The CTIS system is not hooked up, all the equipment is there though. This is a very solid truck. I guarantee is has less rust than most H1 wagons years newer. You've heard of art imitating life? Well how about life imitating war? That's another story entirely, but not so far fetched when it comes to the Hummer. The sport-'ute that met the public eye during Operation Desert Storm has all but completely gone through its entire life cycle in the intervening years: first as a military-only vehicle, the original model became available to the public, then GM bought the rights and started churning out pickup-based H2s and H3s, the U.S. armed forces went back Iraq, the original H1 was discontinued and now GM is preparing to wind down the brand entirely. But not before one last pistol-shootin' hoorah, courtesy of the one dealership that arguably sees the truck for what it is more than any other: Lynch Hummer.
The St. Louis-area franchise made headlines last year when they started filling their emptying showroom with gun racks, selling firearms to make up for dwindling sales in the gigantic SUVs. Now the dealership is connecting the dots with a one-of-a-kind promotion: Buy a Hummer, get a free shotgun.

The 2008 Hummer HX concept was supposed to be General Motors' answer to the Jeep Wrangler. To put it mildly, that failed to materialize. General Motors killed Hummer as part of its bankruptcy-induced limb severing in 2009, before the HX could be brought to fruition as the H4, as had been rumored.
For those of you who wish the HX had indeed surfaced, we have some excellent news: My Electric Vehicle, or MEV, has appropriated the HX concept, added an electric drivetrain and created the MEV Hummer HX. The MEV HX is a fully electric golf cart resort vehicle, licensed by GM and sporting Hummer wheels and skid plates.
Canadian man saves four kids with Hummer [w/video]
Sat, 08 Sep 2012A quick-thinking driver in Canada put his own life on the line last month when he drove his Hummer H3 in front of a distracted driver to save four children. Darrell Krushelnicki, 46, of Taber, Alberta, saw a car about to speed through an intersection. Four kids, whose ages ranged from three to 16 years old, were in the in the crosswalk, so Krushelnicki pulled his truck in front of a silver Pontiac Pursuit (known as the Pontiac G5 in the U.S.) to prevent them from being hit.
The identity of the other driver is unknown, but the news report says the 23-year-old male was talking on his cell phone while traveling around 80 kilometers per hour (close to 50 miles per hour) in a 30 kph speed zone (less than 20 mph). Thankfully, nobody was hurt, and while there's no word as to whether the distracted driver was ticketed, police say that they're recommending Krushelnicki for an award.
