2000 Hummer H1 in Highland Green this is a very nice H1 as you can see it has a large amount of stereo equipment
installed, and to be honest I do not know a lot about it it is very well installed and it does work. I bought a his
H1 to return it back stock inside this is my favorite factory color of these trucks inside and out.
History of this H1: It was purchased by the original owner he won several million dollars from the New York State
lottery this was the 1st truck he bought his name was Ely as you can tell from the seat backs. He had 26,000
dollars of stereo equipment and tv's installed. The truck has t total of 6 tv's inside 2 behind the visors 2 behind
the front seat headrests 1 between the rear seats and one on the windshield it also serves as a rear camera. As I
said the equipment is from 2000 year era so it is something you might or might not like it can be easily removed.
The original owner moved to South Carolina were he took the H1 with him he owned the truck until he traded it in
for a new truck in July 2015 that's when we bought it from the dealership. If you run a carfax you can see were he
had it inspected every year it stayed parked in a garage most of the last 15 years.
I purchased a 2006 Alpha so I have decided to sell this H1 and need the parking space. I also have a additional
2000 H1 so my shop is full. My macantic has checked this truck out it needs nothing it is ready to drive. I can
be reached 8AM thru 10 PM anytime for questions I'm sure I have left somethings out the truck has never off road it
looks great underneath there are no rust bubbles that these trucks usually have the paint is really good for its
age. If your looking for a good H1 that runs good this is it if you don't like the stereo equipment just have it
removed it was put in proper the seats can be recovered for very little costs it only needs it on the top the rest
of the seats are in great shape with on wear at all. Just remember if you like and want a nice H1. You don't see
them with ( 28,000 ) Miles ever at this price Good luck Guys.

Humvee reborn on the battlefield... with a chimney?!

Fri, 09 Dec 2011

The military's High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), better known to most of us as the Humvee, has already served a long and distinguished career in the battlefield, and there have been a number of replacements waiting in the wings to take over where the HMMWV left off. Or, should we say, leaves off... assuming that ever happens.
It seems that the Humvee is set to get a new lease on life as military budget constraints are forcing the government to reconsider its replacement. But there are still some pesky safety issues to work out before American soldiers will feel comfortable inside the confines of the off-road box on wheels.
As you're likely aware, improvised explosive devices are an ever-increasing threat to the lives of American troops serving overseas. The Humvee, which traces its design all the way back to the year 1984 when it first saw duty as a replacement for the long-running series of military Jeeps, has seen a number of incarnations over the years that added armor and improved safety, but the latest version may feature something hitherto unseen: a chimney.

AM General to offer civilian Humvee kit car

Thu, 02 Aug 2012

For anyone feeling nostalgic about the passing of the Hummer brand, or the actual wartime vehicle that inspired it, now is your chance to own a version of the original HMMWV, albeit without an engine.
After a 12-year hiatus from the civilian vehicle market, AM General is reportedly set to offer a kit-car of the C-Series Humvee. The kit will conform to U.S. government regulations and has been made possible by a deal with General Motors.
The kit costs $59,000 - and you still need an engine. A likely favorite would be a Duramax Diesel V8 and Allison transmission combination, as was found on the H1 Alpha. AM General estimates that an owner could buy the kit Humvee and outfit a powerplant and transmission for $75,000. Not bad, considering that H1 Alpha has an MSRP of $140,000 in 2005.

Report: Last-ditch sale effort for Hummer post wind-down announcement fading

Tue, 06 Apr 2010

It's getting tough for even the most ardent supporters of the Hummer brand to continue to keep hope alive. Reports the aficionados at HummerGuy.net: "While many of us were hoping for a last-minute miracle to save the Hummer brand, signs from Detroit are indicating that Hummer production will soon cease indefinitely."
It appears as if General Motors has resigned itself to winding the brand down and letting it die a slow, agonizing death. The automaker says that it's no longer considering offers for the brand and dedicated Hummer staff are reportedly be assigned to serve elsewhere.
Oh, and about that "Save Hummer" summit that's planned for April 11th near Chicago? GM, though it is aware of the rally, has no plans to send representation. That sound that you hear? That's just the tolling of Hummer's death knell. Thanks for the tip, Brian!
