Hyundai Accent 5spd 36mpg Runs Good But Needs Some Work on 2040-cars
Catskill, New York, United States
For sale Hyundai Accent 2001 with 146 k miles. This car won't pass inspection because there is an exhaust leak up front which most likely could be fixed by a $25 flex pipe replacement. The car has some rust on the outside and the interior is in ok condition. Car has a new evap unit, new catalytic converter, new O2 sensor, new rear struts, new front tires, new rear brake pads, new ball joint, control arm bushings and it was recently aligned. I will be including a pair of good snow tires mounted on spare rims. I was driving this car until about a month ago. So it hasn't been sitting for too long and it passed inspection less than a year ago. I definitely put a lot of money in this car lately and I will be loosing some money in this transaction, but you can benefit from it! I bought a new car and that is the only reason why I stopped using it. If you are looking for a temporary car while saving for a nicer upgrade or simply not willing to spend too much on a car this is a good opportunity. Car is located in Catskill. Hyundai in trouble for overstating fuel economy numbers at home, too
Sat, 28 Jun 2014
Hyundai is, understandably, "very confused by the fine and the different results."
The South Korean government is investigating Hyundai and Ssangyong, alleging that the two manufacturers overstated the fuel economy figures on some of their crossovers. But while the initial investigation is being carried out by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, a separate branch of government, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy is supporting the manufacturers' estimates. See Americans, our government isn't the only dysfunctional one.
2015 Hyundai Genesis
Tue, 26 Nov 2013It's not easy to drive a prototype-level version of the upcoming, second-generation Hyundai Genesis sedan.
Three hours in airports; fourteen hours in a plane; two hours riding in a car from a Iuncheon to my hotel in the now-famous Gangnam district of downtown Seoul; another two hours-plus on a bus from Seoul out to the Hyundai nerve center in Namyang. And that's just the travel.
Finally settled into a massive presentation room deep in the heart of the Namyang R&D center, freshly denuded of all of my camera gear and fortified with abundant coffee and green tea cookies, I still faced hours of product presentation; question and answer sessions with a large team of engineers, designers and executives; an official unveiling under the soaring dome of the Design Hall; a strolling lunch and more coffee. And then, finally, a shuttle ride to the proving grounds around which the whole facility hums with enterprise for an all-too-brief stint behind the wheel of a car that, by this point, I'm basically slavering to get my hands on.
Ward's releases 10 Best Interiors list for 2014
Thu, 10 Apr 2014While we're still a ways off from the automotive awards season proper, where things like North American Car and Truck of the Year, Motor Trend's Car of the Year and Car and Driver's Ten Best are named, that doesn't mean there aren't trophies being handed out to deserving automakers. Ward's 10 Best Interiors being one of them.
As the name might imply, the magazine focuses on the very best interior treatments in the US market. Whereas some awards purposely exclude extreme, high-dollar offerings, Ward's considers them - the only requirement is that a vehicle has a "new or significantly redesigned interior."
Ward's offered up the list of winners in simple, alphabetical order, and it only seems fair to do the same:
