2013 Hyundai Elantra Pzev Automatic Midnight Blue on 2040-cars
San Francisco, California, United States
For sale is my 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS PZEV with ~12,600 miles. 5 year/60,000 mile warranty Included! I was hesistant to sell before, but moving in with my girlfriend, so no need for us to have two cars. $15,995 OBO In the 18 months since my purchase I've only put 12,600 miles on it. Great car to own, its my 3rd Hyundai since I've started driving and love the reliability and design of the new Hyundai's. Average 35-40 MPG, so on one tank of gas you can go about 400 miles. I have enough room to throw my mountain bike and golf clubs in the trunk and go. I have done all preventative maintenance at Dublin Hyundai. Has all of the bells and whistles of a new car including some of the below: A/C, All scheduled maintenance, All records, Cruise Control. In excellent condition, ive maintained it immaculately and make sure to get a car wash at least once a month. Looks & drives great (as a car with only 12,600 miles should). Never seen snow, garaged, Non-smoker, One owner, Satellite radio, Still under factory warranty, Very clean interior. Ill even offer to buy 12 months of Sirius Satellite Radio if you buy it. Again, Hyundai Factory Warranty included. For the same model I see dealers selling their cars for $17-$19K, but those are rental company trade-ins that have 40K miles and reek with a mix of stale cigarette smoke and cheap fabric spray. Tax, title, additional.
Also have my car listed on AutoTrader at: autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?ownerId=68324299&searchRadius=0&listingId=350465243

Hyundai Intrado is more than just another fuel cell concept
Tue, 04 Mar 2014
Hyundai says the Intrado is "relevant to consumers" and is "far more than a styling exercise."
Just because it's packing a futuristic powertrain doesn't mean that the new Hyundai Intrado concept isn't a preview of a crossover we'll be seeing on the road in the near future. After all, the hydrogen CUV unveiled today at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show is from Hyundai, which is just about to launch the hydrogen-powered Tuscon fuel cell in the US later this spring. The accompanying press release even says the concept is "relevant to consumers." If that's not a hint, we don't know what is.
Hyundai recalling 15,500 Entourage minivans over rust in cold-weather states
Mon, 25 Nov 2013Hyundai has increased its quality by leaps and bounds in recent years, but we're not sure the Entourage minivan is the best representation of the brand. Essentially a rebadged version of the Kia Sedona, the Entourage has been out of production for about five years now, and it's evidently run into some trouble.
The problem apparently revolves around the suspension - specifically the front lower control arm - which could rust and fracture, particularly in snow-belt states. As a result, Hyundai and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have issued a recall for the Entourage from the 2007 and 2008 model years, the only two years it was sold in the United States.
The recall applies to some 15,500 units sold or registered in Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Rhode Island, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. Hyundai will notify owners as to when they should bring their vehicles in for inspection before either rustproofing or replacing the components in question. What's interesting, however, is that the nearly identical Kia Sedona has not been subject to the same recall.
Hyundai, union reach tentative labor deal
Thu, 05 Sep 2013According to Reuters, South Korea's labor unions may have reached a tentative deal with Hyundai following a compromise between the two sides on wages. Workers have staged a number of stoppages since August 20, which have cost the South Korean giant 1.02 trillion won - around $1.1B US. It also represents just over 50,000 units of production. That vehicle total sounds like a lot, but it's a small enough figure that Hyundai can apparently catch up with weekend and overtime shifts. We'd wager that this is why US inventories haven't been hit quite so hard aside from the battering already taking place. The proposal will now go before the union's rank and file.
If ratified, the new agreement will see workers getting a 5.14-percent raise in base salaries, along with 8.5-million-won (roughly $7,800) bonuses. Those concessions are a far cry compared to what the union was initially demanding, though. Early proposals included a 56.25-gram gold medal for each employee (worth about $2,400) and a 10-million won bonus (about $9,100) for employees whose children chose not to attend college. The union also sought a bonus worth two months' salary for workers that have been with the company for over 40 years, but this was negotiated down to a flat rate of six-million won ($5,464).
Based on Reuters' report, the work stoppages must have taken a real toll on Hyundai - its domestic sales dropped 20 percent last month, while exports were down nine percent. Those startling figures must have put some fire under the Hyundai bargaining team.
