2012 Hyundai Santa Fe All-wheel-drive - Original 1 Owner on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
I have for sale my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe AWD. Please read the entire description for specific details regarding the vehicle. I purchased this vehicle brand new from Las Vegas Planet Hyundai in 2012 with 12 miles on the ODO. The car is as close to brand new as you can get for a 2012 vehicle with 59,000 miles. One small door ding on the passenger side front door, a scuff on the passenger side front wheel, and a light scuff on the top of the rear bumper from a suitcase. Other than that it’s just about perfect. Zero accidents. Always garaged. Interior is immaculate. I have always done my own maintenance because I’m OCD about my vehicles. The oil was changed every 3k miles when I was using conventional oil and then I switched to Royal Purple at 30k miles with a 5k oil interval change. Recent Maintenance: Fresh Oil Change w/filter New cabin air filter New engine air filter Coolant flush New Hyundai brand battery Vehicle Specifics: 2.4L 4 cylinder engine with 6 speed A/T with auto shift mode All-wheel-drive system with manual center differential lock and hill descent control Factory installed optional remote start with theft deterrent system Factory installed optional tow package prep with class III hitch, 4 pin wiring connection, transmission cooler, and power steering cooler Power windows and locks, auto safety central locking system, cruise control, remote entry, Sirius Satellite Radio, Bluetooth connectivity with voice recognition, rear cargo mat and grocery net, factory floor mats, 3 power outlets, etc., etc. The tires have about 50% tread remaining and were recently rotated. Most of the miles on the vehicle are highway hence the low tire wear. I have a Carfax report, the original window sticker and all manuals and supplements. I have loved my Santa Fe but I have 2 cars and only 1 driver so it's time for it to move on to a new loving home. This really is an exceptional vehicle for someone who cares about purchasing a private party vehicle that has been well cared for. Plus, you can save a few thousand buying from a private party versus a dealership. The vehicle is not being driven and is garaged at my home so you do not need to worry about it racking up miles during the posting. I'm happy to take it to a mechanic of your choosing (at your expense) if you want to have the vehicle checked out prior to purchase. I can also email you a copy of the Carfax report if you are interested. Please view the pictures and let me know if you have any questions. I'm happy to answer them. Thanks for your interest. The vehicle is being sold as-is with no warranty express or implied. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to do all due diligence prior to purchase. |

Chrysler and Hyundai join Pepsi and Coke as top Super Bowl spenders [w/ video]
Thu, 23 Jan 2014Super Bowl XLVIII is barely a week away, and some of the early ads are already leaking out. It's timely then that The Street has released rankings of the top five Super Bowl advertisers since 2009, showing Chrysler and Hyundai/Kia taking two of the spots with $131.7 million in cumulative spending.
Since 2010, the cost to air a 30-second Super Bowl ad has risen from $3 million in 2009 to about $4 million in 2014, and about a fifth of advertisers opt for a one-minute ad, which doubles costs. Last year, the ads brought in $292 million, and they have brought in roughly $2 billion since 2010.
Chrysler has spent $64.3 million since 2009 to make it the fourth highest spending company in the last five years. In that time, the company has rebranded itself as it emerged from bankruptcy with the Imported from Detroit ad campaign that premiered in 2011 and last year's God Made a Farmer Ram Trucks ad. Its 2012 Halftime in America sparked national debate about whether it was also a reference to the upcoming presidential election.
Honda scores big in Automobile Advertising of the Year Awards [w/videos]
Wed, 15 Jan 2014This year the Detroit Auto Show didn't just celebrate the automobile, it celebrated how we find out about the automobile, too. Partnering The One Club, this year introduced the 2014 One Show Automobile Advertising of the Year Award to Cobo Hall, celebrating winners in five different categories of advertising: broadcast television, online, interactive, experiential, and print/outdoor. Winners in those categories were judged by 50 creative directors and journalists, while a Public Choice category was chosen from among nearly 20,000 online votes.
Honda walked off with three of the six awards, its Hands spot taking Broadcast honors, its Sound of Honda getting the Online category and Illusions winning Public Choice. Hyundai made the grade in Interactive with Driveway Decision Maker, Fiat captured Print/Outdoor with its "Letters" ad, and Toyota's Tundra Endeavor Campaign spot and BMW's A Window into the Near Future were co-winners for Experiential.
You can watch all of the press release and winning videos below or check out all of the finalists, announced last month, for a refresher.
Hyundai to recall 27,500 Genesis sedans over brake issue
Wed, 23 Oct 2013Following an investigation launched by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration earlier this week, Hyundai will reportedly recall 27,500 Genesis sedans due to braking problems. Roughly 40,000 Genesis sedans from the 2009 model year were originally under investigation, but this official recall affects vehicles from 2009 to 2012.
A Hyundai spokesperson told The New York Times that brake fluid may cause the brake control unit valves to corrode, which reduces braking power. Affected cars will have their brake fluid replaced, and if necessary, will have the control unit replaced, as well.
The original NHTSA investigation was launched after the government agency received 23 complaints from owners citing reduced braking power and increased pedal travel. One incident reportedly resulted in a crash, while another caused a driver to lose control of the car. NHTSA has not officially announced the recall as of this writing.
