Very clean 1992 Infiniti M30 Convertible with 128,000 miles since new. The car is beautifully finished in white diamond pearl paint and has a white leather interior.

For the age of the car, it looks outstanding. There are a few dings and scratches, but nothing really stands out. The top and interior are both in good shape for being 21 years old.

The car runs and drives excellent and has no known mechanical issues, other than the cruise control button does not engage. The air conditioning blows cold the radio works great and the power locks and windows all work. The car has a new muffler and new tires recently replaced.

This is a FLORIDA CAR BOUGHT NEW IN WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA. Also included with the car is documentation from the original owner (see photo). This includes the original owners manual and business cards from the dealership. Interestingly, I also have newspaper articles, magazine articles, and other literature from the time the car was new that the original owner clipped and saved.

REMEMBER, THERE WERE ONLY ABOUT 2500-3500 OF THESE CARS MADE IN LIMITED PRODUCTION IN 1991 AND 1992. IT'S ON ITS WAY TO BECOMING A CLASSIC!

Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction early.

Final Recap: Days 2 and 3 notes, quotes, and takeaways from the US Grand Prix

Tue, 20 Nov 2012

The Texas grass no longer rustles with 2.4-liter V8 exhaust blown at 18,000 revs, the Texas dust is no longer raised by hard-compound Pirellis. We saw a lot and learned a lot while we were there as guests of Infiniti, and after our Day 1 and race recaps, here are the bits left over from our time spent with the carmaker and Red Bull Racing, including thoughts on a "wicked" race, Christian Horner's quest for a more level playing field, Infiniti "going longer and deeper," and why Mario Andretti should get a police escort at the beginning of a race but not a microphone at the end...

Avoiding An Identity Crisis... For Now
Infiniti is a brand that has been quietly undergoing major upheaval - and not just with the numbers and letters on its trunklids. Back in December, Nissan's premium brand rankled fans and pundits by announcing it would redo its alphanumeric nomenclature, yet that decision was but a PR speedbump - there are bigger fish to fry. After all, this is a marque that was on the chopping block just a couple of years ago, and now it has a major opportunity to succeed thanks to new investment, new independence (Infiniti is now responsible for its own design, engineering, marketing, quality and human resources), a new global headquarters in Hong Kong, and new marching orders from new leadership that calls for a revitalized and expanded portfolio.
Yet if you think that the Q-based naming convention is the first sign of the brand's new direction, you might have missed Infiniti's biggest signal flare: the 2013 JX crossover. Fine premium three-row crossover that it may be, it's still the first Infiniti in ages that operates without a scintilla of driving entertainment at the core of its genetic makeup. (The last - and perhaps only - previous example was also Pathfinder-based, the 1997 QX4). To be fair, three-row CUVs have a laundry list of priorities before driving enjoyment figures in, but the message the JX (henceforth known as the QX60) sends is clear: Infiniti is going after more segments and more customers. Plans are afoot to expand the company's product line by a whopping 60 percent over the next five years, and in short, that means Infiniti is no longer content to be the unsung Japanese BMW - it needs vehicles that satisfy a wider swath of consumers. Despite all this, Infiniti officials we spoke with were keen to assert that driving pleasure remains very much core to their mission, and to that of this 2014 Q50 in particular.

Assessing Sebastian Vettel's first 100 days as Infiniti's director of performance

Mon, 08 Jul 2013

Whenever a new US president is elected, we know to expect a performance review as soon as he (or she) has spent 100 days in office. Sebastian Vettel, arguably given a job that is more important to Infiniti than the US president, has been the brand's director of performance for one hundred revolutions of The Blue Marble, and Infiniti has put together a videographic glimpse of his work at Paul Ricard, in the US and England.
We probably won't really get a grip on the full results of his efforts for a while - we doubt that he's been in his post long enough to significantly alter the trajectory of the Q50 sedan, for instance. But then again, Infiniti insists he's been integral to the car's dynamics development regime, suggesting he's been working as a test driver for some time before these 100 days. Of course, Vettel is a race car driver and brand ambassador first and foremost, but when he tells a Q50 engineer that "For the future, I think it's more comfortable to have the shift paddles on the steering wheel," we get the sense that he won't hesitate to suggest changes in forthcoming products. Check out more of his inputs in the video below as well as a press release detailing his visit to the tech center in Cranfield, UK.
