1968 XKE Two Seat Coupe NOT 2+2 Selling my 1968 XKE Coupe as I have too many projects Runs and drives great. Starts right up, idles well, shifts great. You can drive the car around my yard for a test, but the brakes need to be rebuilt so she can not be driven on the street. All numbers match She is solid for her age, with rust in the heel pans, rocker panels, bottom of doors, and above the rear wheel arches. These are all relatively easy rust repairs, common to almost all E-types. There is NO rust under the seats in the main floor or in the spare tire well. She's totally complete with all trim (See pictures) Her windshield is broken, all other glass good She has excellent fit in both the bonnet and doors (See pictures) With an 1966 E-type roadster selling recently for over $460,000, who knows how much this car will be worth in a few years. I can deliver the car to local ports for an added fee, please call me to work out an arrangement. Any other questions, please call me at: 302-542-6814 |

40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax
Thu, 24 Jul 2014
The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
Jaguar hints at what might become of XK after F-Type's arrival
Wed, 02 Jan 2013Jaguar may move the company's XK further upmarket following the introduction of its forthcoming F-Type. The newcomer to the range easily shoulders the burden of carrying the Jaguar sportscar mantle, freeing up the XK to evolve in another direction. While speaking with Autocar, Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum said there's an opportunity to grow the grand tourer both in size and luxury.
Whether that means the vehicle will retain its two-plus-two seating configuration or swell to offer buyers even more space remains to be seen. Either way, the future will likely see the XK soften its claws moving forward. And that's no bad thing. Jaguar has a long history of building luxurious grand tourers more content to soak up miles of highway than bounce from apex to apex.
What else is in store for the brand? Callum seems to have kept his cards close to his chest, refusing to acknowledge ongoing rumors of a Jaguar crossover beyond saying the brand "had to take notice" of the popularity of the luxury SUV market.
Jaguar riffs on Super Bowl ad with new F-Type Coupe web short
Thu, 03 Apr 2014Continuing the story of black hearts it began with its first Super Bowl commercial, Jaguar is roaring down the dark and oh-so-magnificently appealing road of villainy with a new spot featuring Tom Hiddleston. Using its new F-Type Coupe to demonstrate, the actor explains the salient features of the best - meaning, English - villains.
However, it's likely that even if you could manage the elegance, the tailored suit, the sharp wit and the distinct sound, you couldn't pull it all off nearly as well as Hiddleston. That doesn't mean you can't try, of course. Might we suggest starting with his excellent lesson in being properly villainous in the video below?
