This is your chance to own a one of a kind Jaguar S-type V8. This car needs to have the timing chains and tensioners changed before it cant be driven. Included in this auction are all the genuine Jaguar Parts you will need to complete the job. EVERYTHING from gaskets to chains to bolts is included, if you dropped this car off at the dealership and they told you what all you needed you would have it here. All new gaskets even a new oil filter and antifreeze I bought everything. I bought all of these parts from my Jaguar dealership and they are authentic costing more that the Buy it Now price of this auction. I have had lots of things done to the car including a new transmission 2 years ago for $4,378.09. The car also has brand new shocks on it from where it was lowered. The lowering kit was H&R springs along with the new shocks. There is no wheel rub even with three people in the back seat. Fender sits about an inch off of front and rear fender wells. I also had a new thermostat and thermostat housing along with both breather houses replaced.

The car was painted by a professional body shop not someone sitting in their garage with spray cans. The paint is SEM Hot Rod black. It is unique because it is flat black but it has a clear coat mixed in with the paint so your paint stays protected from the sun. It was painted about 3 years ago and pain is in great shape just the normal rock chips here and there. I replaced the upper and lower grills on the Jaguar to give it the look of a S-Type R. The grills are made of thick steel and not cheap mesh. The headlights have chrome rings around them that go with the grills. The leaper on the hood was also replaced to go along with the grills and headlights. The taillights are also tinted with NIGHTSHADES but can easily be removed if you do not like it. Car has 19" Baccarat rims all the way around with removable chrome pieces. I got a flat tire and the 4th rim is in the trunk but car has a full sized spare on it.

Car comes with just about every option you could get, sunroof, CATS system, Sport mode option, Navigation, Wood interior.

The interior of the car is in great shape minus the drivers seat which is showing some wear as you would expect from a car that is 14 years old. The windows are tinted fairly dark and you will need to check with local laws to see if they are legal in your area. The battery is located in the trunk of the car and was replaced about a year ago. You could not even buy all of the timing chain parts from jaguar for the buy it now price. Just so you know what kind of a deal you are getting here is a list of what the parts on the car and timing components cost me:

Transmission $4739

Thermostat and housing $300

Timing Parts $2800

Paint job $3100

Chrome Grilles $300

Shocks and lowering spring $800

Chrome Headlight Bezels $80

New Leaper $130

New Headliner $475

Tinted windows $130

Rims $1200

Thermostat and housing $300

HID Headlights and fog lights $200

That's $14,554 all the saving passed on to you.

This is a mechanics delight or someone else who is a bit more savy than me with cars. The certified Jaguar mechanic I had look at it said it can be swapped out in a day and ready to run but I do not have the time or money to fix it right now so I think it should go to someone else who would appreciate it. I am sad to sell is because it is my favorite of all my cars but I do not have a choice.

I have done my best to describe the car to you if you have any questions feel free to ask . I will help with shipping in any way possible. Good Luck and happy Bidding.

Jaguar readying a pop-top F-Type Coupe? [w/poll]

Mon, 17 Feb 2014

Typically convertibles are spun off of coupes, but sometimes it goes the other way. Like the Porsche Cayman that was based on the Boxster, the Lotus Exige spun off of the Elise, and the Jaguar F-Type, which arrived as a roadster before the coupe debuted. But if the latest reports are to be believed, Jaguar could be planning something in between.
According to Auto Express (which has, mind you, been known to stretch the rumors out some), Jaguar is toying with the idea of offering a partial convertible version of the F-Type - something Porsche would call a Targa (and which we would too if Stuttgart weren't so litigiously protective of the name). The additional roof configuration would give the F-Type three body-styles, giving its customers more choices.
It wouldn't be the only sports car to offer three roof options: There's the Porsche 911, of course. Ferrari once offered GTB, GTS and Spider versions of the 348 and 355. The Chevy Corvette has been offered in all three forms, as was the Pontiac Solstice many moons ago. But that kind of variety in roof configurations has become scarce. Jaguar's decision reportedly depends on whether it can make the business case or not. Do you think there'd be enough demand for a lift-roof F-Type?

Jaguar sculpture by RCA design students is a minimal beauty

Fri, 24 May 2013

With its well-deserved reputation for high design, it is not particularly surprising to see Jaguar reaching outside of the automotive realm for future inspiration. To that end, the British automaker recently enlisted the talents of students at the Royal College of Art to create a piece of forward-looking, automotive-inspired sculpture.
The result of this project can be seen above; a sculpture created by RCA students Claire Miller and Ewan Gallimore, and unveiled to a small audience to kick off London's Clerkenwell Design Week. The spare and rather elegant form created by the talented pair absolutely harkens back to coupes from Jaguar's past as well as its present (read: F-Type) without aping any one model particularly.
In a press release, the artists had this to say about the work: "Our form relates to the Jaguar brand through its sculptural volumes, bespoke materials and visual lightness. These elements helped us to create a sculpture that aimed to display a seamless transition between interior and exterior space." Get a better look at the Jaguar artwork in the gallery above, or read through the press release, which follows.

Jaguar-based Eagle E-Type Low Drag GT makes its bid for most beautiful car ever with EVO

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

The Jaguar E-Type is one of the icons of automotive design, and British company Eagle has made a business out of restoring, upgrading and building their bespoke versions for the last 30 years. It does for the E-Type what Singer does for the Porsche 911 - takes an already great classic car and updates its mechanicals for the modern age.
The firm's latest creation, the Low Drag GT, might be its greatest ever, at least according to editor Henry Catchpole in Evo magazine's latest video. The car takes its inspiration from a trio of low-drag E-Type coupes built in the 1960s, but thoroughly modernizes the concept. The engine is based on Jag's inline-six, but made from aluminum and bored out to 4.7 liters to produce 346 horsepower and 360 pound-feet of torque. Catchpole says it's enough to propel it to 60 miles per hour in about 4.5 seconds. The body, transmission and differential are all also made from aluminum to cut the weight to 2,288 pounds, and modern upgrades include Ohlins dampers, AP Racing brakes and even extras like concealed GPS navigation and an Alcantara headliner. There's more head- and legroom than the originals, too.
Each car is built bespoke for each buyer, so prices vary, but Catchpole says the one he is in would run about half the cost of a LaFerrari - around $700,000.
