1989 Jaguar Vanden Plas
Black on Magnolia Connolly Leather 3.6 liter Jaguar engine premium original condition This low mileage 89 is in excellent, clean condition...I have not seen a better black 1989 VDP. It has been a 2nd car, not driven in rain, garaged and kept freshly waxed, only being driven for pleasure. The car runs very smooth, reliable and shifts like it should. The interior is amazing - like new and supple, built when Jaguar was putting the highest quality leather from Connolly Leather in it's cars. All electronics, including the climate control and digital dash are working perfectly. There is a custom fitted car cover, and the car has been upgraded to later 17" XK Jaguar wheels to give it a little more attitude. The 88/89 Vanden Plas' came with a more refined interior design, and the best burl wood veneers with boxwood inlays on every panel. A couple of years ago I had a trusted paintless dent repair man remove the few dings the car had acquired over the years. There is no body damage or rust anywhere, such as around the rear window or behind/on the wheel arches. Some valuable repair items that have been corrected in the last 3 years include:

Entry-level Jaguar X-Type successor due in 2015, crossover a year later
Mon, 26 Nov 2012Jaguar's future product plans keep on slipping, slipping, slipping onto the internet, and the latest on it's entry-level luxury challenger is a 2015 due date. According to Automobile magazine, "most significant game-changer from Coventry" will be arriving on the same PLA platform that supports the Jaguar XJ and 2013 Range Rover. Kacher says the small sedan has already got the green light as codename X760, and will bow first as a four-door sedan, then as a crossover a year later.
This puts a date to a recent Autocar report that a small sedan and crossover were in the works. We've been getting reports of and concepts for a successor to the X-Type ever since Tata bought Jaguar - like the Bertone B99 concept last year, and this enthusiast concept more recently - since everyone knows it's what has to happen for "a new Jaguar" to succeed. We're looking forward to seeing what the English maker comes up with; if it remains true to form, it could be one of the few luxury competitors whose distinct model each look, well, truly distinct.
Watch this Jaguar XJ220 perform a fiery burnout
Thu, 19 Jun 2014We like to think that at least some supercar owners drive their exotic machinery the way they're meant to be driven. The reality is more likely that most pamper them in climate-controlled environments and rarely actually drive them. But Tax The Rich seems dedicated to balancing them all out by hooning the heck out of some of the most expensive and desirable supercars the world has ever seen - whether it's a Ferrari Enzo rallying along dirt roads or a pair of F50s playing tug of war.
The YouTube channel has even played around with a Jaguar XJ220 before, but not quite like this. In its latest clip, Tax The Rich goes a step or two beyond the usual smokey burnout, lighting up the rear wheels of a super-rare Jag, all for our viewing pleasure. And take pleasure we do in the video below, even as part of us cringes at the thought of potentially reducing one of the fastest Jaguars in history to a smoldering hulk.
Exploring Romania's storied Transfagarasan Highway in a Jaguar F-Type V8 S
Wed, 05 Feb 2014Top Gear is, in some ways, a victim of its own success. When it declares a road the best in the world, like it did with Romania's Transfagarasan Highway during its 14th season, you can't blame people for showing up and wanting to check it out. Of course, then the road becomes clogged with tourists and is less fun to drive.
But is it possible that there is an even better driving road in Romania? One that is higher, smoother and undiscovered by tourists - at least not yet? Henry Catchpole from Evo thinks that he may have found it while driving a Jaguar F-Type V8 S that makes a sound that evokes a World War II British fighter plane.
Scroll down to take a brief trip to Romania and bask in the wonderful roar of this topless Jaguar.
