Jaguar F-Type Project 7 takes the D-Type to the 21st Century

The Project 7 expands on the already appealing F-Type Convertible formula, further boosting the Jaguar Land Rover 5.0-liter, supercharged V8 to its most potent form yet - 575 horsepower - making this the most powerful production Jag in history. So equipped, the Project 7 is more cheetah than jaguar, roaring to 60 miles per hour in a rapid 3.8 seconds before reaching its electronically limited peak speed of 186 miles per hour.

This time around, Seinfeld and Sarah Silverman spend some time driving around in the "slinky, sexy" Jag, talking comedy and then grabbing breakfast.
In addition to the kickoff of the show's second season, this episode also represents the start of a 24-episode sponsorship with Acura. The original deal promised short ads at the beginning and end of each episode, but this time around, Seinfeld "stumbles upon" a 2014 Acura RLX, which is obviously - and admittedly - the work of product integration. Jaguar bringing all-wheel-drive F-Type to LA Auto Show [w/video]
Thu, 06 Nov 2014Jaguar's big splash at last year's Los Angeles Auto Show was showing off the slinky F-Type Coupe; perhaps one of the loveliest car shapes on the road today. This year the company won't have a show-stopping new design to offer, but the news that all-wheel drive is coming to the F-Type range is, nevertheless, pretty spectacular.
Mixed in with news about a technical partnership between Jaguar and the Bloodhound SSC World Land Speed Record program, the British brand announced this morning that it will show the first AWD F-Type Coupe at the 2014 LA show later this month.
Jaguar tells us that the sure-footed cat, in AWD F-Type R Coupe form, will run from 0-60 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds, with a limited top speed of 186 mph.
