My Jaguar is a NON-SMOKER. I have had this car since about 60,000 miles and bought it from Texas cars direct. It's always been garaged. To the best of my knowledge, everything works as it should. I have had a serpintine belt installed @ about 85,000 mi., fuel rails overhauled, replaced fule sender, and fuse box in trunk, new water pump, transmission oil pan and gasket replaced(had a leak), replaced motors in RH outside rear-view mirror. I put Michelin Sport A/S plus tires on it and they look to have about 2 years left on them. I have all records since i bought the car. There are no dents or large scratches, there are very small rock chips, hard to see, and only one 1 inch scratch on top of right rear fender thats not too noticable. I do have touch-up bottle to match. My car is located in Bedford, Tx. and you would have to come pick it up. The American Airlines credit union would require the car to be paid off before it could be released and then the title can be given over to the new owner. I've always used Amsoil in the engine. 2013 Jaguar XF 2.0T
Fri, 10 May 2013Jaguar is moving to modernize its XF engine lineup - once the exclusive territory of V8 mills - with a range including a turbo four, a supercharged six and supercharged V8s of various potencies. Personally, I'll miss the combination of this smooth looking and driving XF sedan, and the lazy power of the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter engine, even if the super six has earned some praise in other applications.
The truth is that the four, six, eight lineup for the XF makes a lot of sense, and this 2.0T version of the sedan is far better than I expected it to be. In fact, there's a legitimate argument to be made for it as the XF that works the best for the largest group of customers. Here's why:

Mon, 17 Dec 2012What do you do when you're an automaker with an all-new and brand-defining sports car, one of them with a supercharged V8 cranking out 495 horsepower? You let proven race drivers test them out on track and on the road.
And what do you do if you're Jaguar and you're in that situation? Why, naturally, you make a video of it. That's how we get footage of racers Martin Brundle, Justin Bell and Christian Danner being choppered into the UK's Snetterton track to test the V6-equipped Jaguar F-Type S prototype. Then when they're finished with kerb-lined apexes, they take the V8 S prototype out onto the roads to run it through hedge-lined apexes.
According to one of them, "very fast, very nimble, great engine" is what will soon be headed our way. Check it out in the video below.
Lapping Le Mans with 1956's version of a dash cam
Wed, 01 May 2013Mike Hawthorne and Ivor Bueb won The 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1955 driving a Jaguar D-Type. The following year, a few days before the race, a British broadcaster put cameras on Hawthorne's car, hung a mic from a plate on his race suit and had him narrate a lap of the Circuit de la Sarthe.
It is compelling viewing. A new pit complex was built after the massive accident on the front straight in 1955, but this was still a time when crews prepped for the race on roads that were open to the public. Hawthorne's lap includes maneuvers to avoid bicyclists and cars, and gems like letting us know that doing 185 miles per hour down the Mulsanne Straight was where you could "relax a little, recover your energy." Watch him work it like the men of old in the video below.
