This red 1994 Jaguar XJS is in great mechanical condition. The car runs, drives, stops and preforms the way this luxury car should. The engine and exhaust have a beautiful sound to them, the transmission shifts very smooth and the brakes are in great shape. The car has new rear wheel bearings, and a great set of tires with 90% tread on them. The paint has a brilliant shine with a few very minor scratches: the front spoiler has a little paint chipped, and the passengers door has a small dent by the trim. The chrome is in great shape and has a brilliant shine. The convertible top is in good condition and fits nice and tight. All the windows work properly on the car and all the weather stripping is in great condition. The interior is also in good condition with the front seats and carpet showing very little signs of wear. There is a small tear on the rear seat headrest facing the back of the car and the back seat shows a little wear. The wood trim does have some lacquer peeling but is not broken and is all in place and the inside hood release handle is missing but hood still opens as it should. The Car has a nice aftermarket radio with Bluetooth but also comes with the original factory radio and cd changer. The cars AC works but needs to be charged. This is a great car that sounds fantastic, has superb handling and is beautiful to look at. The car comes with a great CarFax report that shows no damage or accidents. Jay Leno's Garage features funnyman's 1963 Jaguar E-Type
Thu, 25 Apr 2013Jay Leno looks inward on this episode of his eponymous garage, checking out a 1963 Jaguar XKE that he bought earlier this year. It is an example of his favorite kind of car, that being original and unrestored. He bought the E-Type from its first owner, a woman who purchased it new, held on to it for 50 years and took excellent care of it. Having never been in an accident, Leno says even the paint is 85- to 90-percent original.
In the video, the XKE sits in front of two heavily modded XK120s and another '63 XKE, but Leno said all he's done - and all he plans to do - is clean it up and put on a modern set of wire wheels for safety.

Jaguar testing hardcore F-Type R-S GT?
Wed, 16 Apr 2014Some automakers make a hardcore model, then sit back and revel in its awesomeness. Jaguar does things a little differently. It takes a standard production model, gives it more power, bigger brakes and a tighter suspension and slaps the letter R on it. Then it gives it even more power, even bigger brakes and an even tighter suspension and calls it an R-S. Sometimes the engineers in Coventry don't even think that's enough, so they strip out some weight and dial things up even further and call it an R-S GT.
So far, they've only gone that far with the XK (transformed first into the XKR, then the XKR-S, and finally the XKR-S GT), but with that model on its way out, Jaguar seems to be preparing to give the newer F-Type a similar treatment. Now we can't be sure that what we're looking at is an F-Type R-S GT, especially since the 550-horsepower engine from the XKR-S and XFR-S is already powering the existing F-Type R Coupe, but it does seem to have all the makings of a hardcore performance model.
Compared to the existing F-Type, the development model pictured here has a bigger front splitter (like the one on the Project 7 concept), a big rear wing and a set of what looks like pretty big lightweight alloys. It's also, tellingly, a roadster, which (unlike the coupe) has until now topped out at 500hp with the V8 S model. So while it may be hard to say exactly just what Jaguar has in store for us here (or what they'll call it), one thing's for sure: it's gonna be fast and loud.
Jeremy Clarkson's Jag going up for auction
Sun, 18 Aug 2013Fans of Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson might want to make plans to be in the UK next weekend. On August 24, Anglia Car Auctions in King's Lynn is auctioning off Clarkson's black 1999 Jaguar XJR as part of its classic sale. According to the auction house, the Jag was "originally the daily drive" of Clarkson and has had one registered owner since.
Clarkson's former ride clocks in at 93,000 miles and has an estimated price of 2,500 to 4,000 pounds. At roughly $3,300 to $5,300 in US dollars, that could be quite a steal for a hardcore Jeremy Clarkson fan. And with a supercharged 4.0-liter V8 engine and lavish interior, it's a luxury sport sedan lover's dream.
This isn't the first time Clarkson has crossed paths with Anglia Car Auctions. Back in 2009, he and fellow Top Gear stars James May and Richard Hammond made an appearance at another vintage auction to buy vehicles for a future segment of the show.
