1995 Jaguar Xjs Convertible 2-door 6.0l V12 on 2040-cars

Year:1995 Mileage:10500 Color: on Cream leather interior with
Location:

Andover, Massachusetts, United States

Andover, Massachusetts, United States

This is a unique and rare opportunity to obtain a true collector car.

This is the last year of the 6.0L V12 XJS. If you are not familiar with the 6 liter V12, it was a new engine developed by Jaguar under Ford ownership, and so is both more powerful than the previous 5.3L V12, and also extemely reliable, with modern electronic ignition/fuel injection and Ford's wiring harness removing the old Lucas-based electrical problems.

Jaguar only built 243 V12 XJS in 1995 and only about 80 of them came to the US market. Only a handful of those have the rare turbine style wheels and this example was fully optioned with a rear spoiler, CD changer and coldweather pack.

This cat has the much sought after Black exterior on Cream leather interior with beige piping and Elmwood paneling. It is in virtually new condition, and you will not see another one like it.

As new, it has never been driven in the rain, and you can see the beauty of the original black paint in the reflectivity of the trees in the photos. As well, this cat's cream colored leather interior with beige piping has been regularly cared for with leather conditioner, and kept well preserved in its heated berth.

There is not a scratch on any one of the rare turbine style alloy rims and the original tires are still holding English air.  Even the original wool carpet mats have never been stepped on.

Fluids were regularly changed by a Jaguar specialist, and so this beautiful classic car can be driven without reservation, or shown at your local Jaguar club concourse immediately.

This is the last year for this special car in perfect condition, and with only 10,500 miles on it, I can safey say it is one of a kind, and the best investment XJS you can buy.

The original window sticker price on this car was over $85,000. I am only selling this appreciating classic because I decided to stop showing it and instead have bought a new XKR to DRIVE!! (seen in the last photo)

I am listing this on ebay for a week or two before I consign it to a classic car auction.  You can save yourself some money by bidding on it now before the price increases to include the consignment fees and commission!  My reserve price is at or below the prices bid recently for some lesser 94/95 V12 XJS, so you can be assured that if you submit a realistic bid, you can own this spectacular  Jaguar.

I will repond immediately to any questions.

Good Luck!

Evo pits Jaguar XKR-S vs. Mercedes SL63 AMG in heavyweight droptop fight

Wed, 12 Mar 2014

We recently received the sad news that the Jaguar XK is ceasing production by the end of the year, but what better way to bid it farewell than with some big, smoky powerslides? The retirement of the sporty GT isn't actually the topic of the latest video from Evo - it's on hand to compete against the Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG to see which is faster around a track. Still, we can think of it as a wonderful sendoff for the Jag.
Both convertible grand tourers get their laps around the course, and they couldn't be more different. Driver Jethro Bovingdon gets some grins out of them both, but absolutely giggles while behind the wheel of the XKR-S convertible. The SL63 AMG is the more powerful of the two, but as we know, that doesn't always matter at a racetrack. You'll just have to scroll down and watch the video to see which of them is actually the winner.

50th Anniversary Porsche 911 vs. Jaguar F-Type Coupe is a battle of beauty, brawn

Fri, 13 Jun 2014

There can't really be a loser between the Jaguar F-Type Coupe R and the Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition. One might be better than the other, but if you're behind the wheel of either of them, you can't complain. In a new video, Motor Trend takes on the difficult task of determining which one of these European powerhouses is the best, not just in terms of raw performance, but also how they actually feel to drive.
The Porsche 911 is one of the perennial favorites of the motoring world. It just doesn't go away and always seems capable of challenging the top vehicles in its class. In this video, Motor Trend takes a look at the 50th Anniversary Edition model that celebrates that heritage while boosting power somewhat over the standard version.
The F-Type Coupe is an incredibly masculine car, MT describing it as "a British Corvette." The coupe's exterior lines are tautly stretched over its athletic body, and it's supercharged 5.0-liter V8 sounds like a demon's growl. Jaguar seems to have things right with its latest sports car.

Jaguar turns down offers to join V8 Supercars, questions AMG, Volvo participation

Thu, 27 Jun 2013

Rumors have swirled in recent weeks that Jaguar may be the next manufacturer to join the V8 Supercars racing series, made popular in Australia but now well-known in other parts of the world as well. Sadly, Jag's participation is not to be. In fact, it would be "insane," according to Jaguar Land Rover Asia Pacific Managing Director David Blackhall, for it to accept either of the two offers it has received to bring Jaguar into V8 Supercars.
Not only is Jaguar not interested in entering V8 Supercars, says Blackhall, it also fails to understand the recent entries from AMG and Volvo. "I don't know what it does for AMG to get flogged by a V8 Commodore week after week, but it's their brand, their issue. And the same thing will happen to Volvo to be honest."
Judging by Blackhall's statements to motoring.com.au, after not-so-serious consideration, the automaker decided the monetary commitment it would take to compete for wins would be more than any potential exposure would be worth, despite the fact that Jaguar has a 5.0-liter V8 to go along with what would seem to be a tailor-made rear-wheel-drive chassis. For what it's worth, one offer would have had Jaguar putting its name across an engine made by someone else, an option that was flatly turned down.
