1996 Jaguar Xjs Convertible 4.0l 2+2 2 Door on 2040-cars
Burlington, Wisconsin, United States
You are bidding on a 1996 Jaguar XJS Convertible. This car is in average condition for it's age overall. The cruise, windows, gauges, etc. all seem to work. There is an ABS light on the dash, probably a wheel sensor. The engine idles and runs smoothly, transmission shifts properly, brakes seem ok but there is pulsation in the pedal when braking at speeds over 40 mph. The car very minimal rust that is only in the insides of the door jamb, and on the corner of the front windshield but is still below the paint and has not penetrated through yet. Passenger outside door handle is inoperative, possibly just disconnected. The interior is in fair condition and will probably clean up nice with a good deep clean, the driver's seat especially shows some soiling. The paint on the car is in good shape and there is one major blemish that is pictured near the fuel fill where the clear coat seems to be coming off. The top is in good shape and goes up and down, no tears or rips from what I could see it looked decent. There are trim pieces on the exterior broken or damaged here and there, overall it would make a fun convertible for the summer or a great car to have some fun working on. Please email with any questions. This vehicle may be sold outside this auction.

Jaguar C-X17 gets liquid metal finish for Dubai show [w/poll]
Sat, 09 Nov 2013We thought the C-X17 concept looked pretty good when Jaguar unveiled it in Frankfurt a couple of months ago. But that shade of blue, while nice enough, made it look like it shared more than a similar name with the Mazda CX-7. No, what a Jaguar needs is a more luxurious paint job than electric blue. And that's just what the British automaker has given its crossover concept in time for the Dubai Motor Show this week.
What we have here is the same C-X17, but repainted in what Jaguar calls "a lustrous Liquid Aluminum liquid metal finish," and we have but to agree. What do you think? Scope it out in the fresh batch of high-res images above and cast your vote in the poll below.

Jaguar F-Type pitted against Porsche 911 Cabriolet by Tiff Needell
Wed, 24 Apr 2013You knew it wouldn't take long and it looks like EVO is first onto YouTube with a battle between the 2014 Jaguar F-Type and the 2013 Porsche 911. Tiff Needell spends a few laps warming up the tires (read: drifting like mad) in each droptop before getting in a timed run to see who's champion and who's second best.
Before the bell rings, its the Porsche that's got everything to lose, the 50-year-old era-defining sportscar getting on with a 3.4-liter flat-six, 350 horsepower, a seven-speed manual and a 3,197-pound curb weight. Other sportscars, like the F-Type, continue to eye the 911 like a flag atop Everest that they plan to first touch, and then rip from its socket. The mid-trim Jaguar rolls into the contest with a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 with 380 hp, an eight-speed automatic with paddle shifters and a curb weight of 3,521 pounds.
The video below shows you what happens when you let all those numbers fight it out on the same stretch of curvy track. Check it out.
Jaguar F-Type squares off against Porsche 911, Aston V8 Vantage with Chris Harris
Fri, 21 Jun 2013Chris Harris is back on the job, taking on really really difficult car questions like: Which enormously sexy and good-to-drive, high-performance convertible is the top of the heap? As one of the hottest cars in the luxury space right now, the Jaguar F-Type S is, of course, in on the action. Competition comes in the form of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster and the Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet. Sun-loving CEOs who despise test-driving need look no further.
Scroll on below for a fully featured (with a running time of more than 20 minutes) comparison video. Harris does his best to entertain - in a typically nitpicky and made-up-British-words fashion - and the moving pictures are lovely to look at. Kick back, pour a pint and get your weekend started off right.
