Up for sale is an outstanding condition 1990 low mileage
Jaguar XJS in a beautiful color combination. I have significant documentation
on this car dating back over 10 years and even had the original window sticker.
While I love driving this car and looking at it I have two XJS’s and one XKE
and future retirement plans will only allow for one play car and that would be
the XKE. Much work has been done on this convertible within the last
9 months to make it mechanically sound and also some suspension enhancements to
improve the ride quality. I am anal about my cars and want them as near perfect
as possible. If you are considering an
older Jaguar make sure you understand that what you buy may cost a significant
amount to bring the car into good condition regardless of miles and stated
condition. I welcome pre bid inspections on this car and will provide a book of
documentation on the work performed over the years. Due to excessive cowl shake on pre 1992 XJS convertibles a
new bracing system was designed to significantly improve ride quality when the
face lift XJS appeared in 1992. I purchased an OEM bracing system for this car
and had it installed to give the car the same ride quality as the redesigned
1992 XJS’s. If you are looking at a pre-1992 XJS please watch out for cowl
shake as the cars age. I can assure you the bracing system which cost me over
$1,600 to buy/install makes a major difference in before and after ride
quality. The following mechanical work was performed by a highly
qualified Jaguar mechanic. 1) New water pump and AC compressor 2) 4 new tires. 3) Installed Dayton wire wheels previously used only 2 years
– outstanding condition 4) New brake accumulator 5) New hood struts 6) Removed all door dings 7) Matched and refinished cracked center console wood 8) New crankshaft seal 9) New steel valve cover gaskets 10) New radiator hoses 11) New coolant expansion tank 12) New throttle shaft bushing 13) All new drive belts 14) New breather hose 15) New intake manifold gasket 16) New plugs 17) OEM undercarriage bracing system 1992 model year and

These cars are starting to gain in value as the price of XKE’s are out of reach
for many and XJS’s are bargains when you consider how rare and exotic these
cars are. For model year 1990 less than 5,000 were manufactured which is about
an average production year. I will be selling this car for less than my
investment over the last 12 months however I do not plan on giving the car

Jaguar XFR-S is motor-porn on a mountain road
Tue, 04 Dec 2012The 2014 Jaguar XFR-S might have only been good enough to take the runner-up spot in our Editor's Choice top five debuts at the LA Auto Show, but we'd be hard-pressed to find a car with a more exhilarating exhaust note. As proof of this, Jaguar released a video showing the XFR-S tearing up a windy, European mountain road in close to a minute of hardcore driving footage.
The big blue cat has the same great exhaust note of the XKR-S, and the driver puts all of the car's 550 horsepower to work demonstrating the handling - and drifting - abilities of the new XFR-S. If there's any disappointment to be had, it's the fact that you have to jump to the 30-second mark of the video for any of the action to start.

Jaguar shows the face of its upcoming XE S sports sedan
Wed, 30 Jul 2014Jaguar has a bunch of projects in the hopper, from the replacements for the XJ sedan and XK coupe/convertible to its very first crossover. But arguably the most important among them is the XE - the British automaker's upcoming new sports sedan. Coventry has given us all sorts of peeks at what to expect from the new XE, from a shadowy rendering of the front end to a photo of a camo-wrapped prototype. But this is our best look yet.
As part of an announcement of a planned audio-visual spectacle scheduled to herald the arrival of the XE, Jaguar has released the image you see above, showing the undisguised XE in apparent S specification. From what we can see, it sports a fascia that looks pretty much exactly as we'd expect, though that's no bad thing. The XE is set to introduce the new Ingenium family of 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines. Whether the XE S shown here would carry a version of that (with a potential supercharger) or transplant the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 from the F-Type S remains to be seen, but whatever's under the hood, we'd expect it to hold the top end of the XE range - at least for the car's introduction before a potential R, R-S or SVR version might come along to supplant it.
One way or another, don't be surprised if you see some BMW 3 Series sedans pacing down the street nervously for the next little while. In the meantime, you can scope out all the glorious details of Jaguar's planned collaborations with the likes of Emeli Sandé, Stella McCartney and Idris Elba as part of the FEEL XE campaign in the press release below.
Jaguar to expand Jaguar XKR-S GT production run?
Wed, 10 Apr 2013According to a report in Autocar, demand for the Jaguar XKR-S GT is such that the English company could nearly double production from 30 to 50 cars. Such inflation can often incense those have already put deposits down, worried that they've both been lied to about the potentially diminished values of their cars, but Jaguar has made the announcement barely a day after the XKR-S GT was revealed and 50 still isn't that many vehicles.
Nothing in the Autocar report indicates the additional examples will not come to America, making the 500-horsepower superfast coupe a treat we can still call all our own. Jaguar didn't add horsepower but instead honed other aspects of the car to produce a GT that can lap the 'Ring nearly as quickly as a Ferrari 458 Italia, and the world should be the beneficiary, the company's brand director saying, "The real beauty of this project has been that it has extended our understanding of the elements involved in making a car go so fast, and that will feed back into all our road car programs." Sounds good to us.
