1959 Jaguar XK150 Drop Head Coupe with black California license plates; 100% original factory metal; and 81,222 original miles. No rust ever. Numbers-matching car with rare Black/Red color combination, per Jaguar's Heritage Certificate. A completely original car that was stored indoors for 35 years and recently restored. Over the past year the entire car was disassembled and taken to metal, hand dollied and hand blocked, and painted with the finest base/clear paint. All body rubbers and seals are replaced new, new interior, new top. The undercarriage was taken to metal and sealed with epoxy primer and paint for 30 year rust protection (all factory spot welds are still visible). Owned by a famous U.S. Navy Seal and cowboy shooter named James Gordon, whose job in the early 1970's was to infiltrate nuclear-armed vessels and plant fake bombs: Only the Admiral of the U.S. Navy knew what vessel James Gordon would hit, and his penetration rate was 70%, often climbing up ship anchor chains in a frog suit like an American James Bond. Later in life James Gordon was the #1 competition cowboy shooter in the country, named "Yuma Jim." He bought this Jaguar in 1969 and drove it during his Seal career when he lived in Vallejo, CA. He stopped driving the car in the late 1970's and started restoring it, accumulating many of the parts we used to complete the project. A fine example of one of the most stylish cars every built. 2013 Jaguar XF 2.0T
Fri, 10 May 2013Jaguar is moving to modernize its XF engine lineup - once the exclusive territory of V8 mills - with a range including a turbo four, a supercharged six and supercharged V8s of various potencies. Personally, I'll miss the combination of this smooth looking and driving XF sedan, and the lazy power of the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter engine, even if the super six has earned some praise in other applications.
The truth is that the four, six, eight lineup for the XF makes a lot of sense, and this 2.0T version of the sedan is far better than I expected it to be. In fact, there's a legitimate argument to be made for it as the XF that works the best for the largest group of customers. Here's why:

Jaguar design boss Callum reinterprets classic Mark 2 for himself [w/video]
Fri, 29 Aug 2014As the man behind the styling of basically every Jaguar since the mid 2000s, two things should be known about Ian Callum - he's a big fan of the brand, and he can bloody well get whatever kind of Jag he wants.
His newest car, though, is not what you might expect. Rather than an F-Type or an XJ, Callum has gone old school, and commissioned a custom, resto-modded Jaguar Mark 2.
Designed by Callum and built by Classic Motor Cars in Shropshire, England, the Mark 2 was an 18-month project between the designer and the garage. The essentially new car draws its power from a 4.3-liter engine that's been pilfered and modified from an XK. It's mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
Jaguar lets first outsiders drive new F-Type
Mon, 17 Dec 2012What do you do when you're an automaker with an all-new and brand-defining sports car, one of them with a supercharged V8 cranking out 495 horsepower? You let proven race drivers test them out on track and on the road.
And what do you do if you're Jaguar and you're in that situation? Why, naturally, you make a video of it. That's how we get footage of racers Martin Brundle, Justin Bell and Christian Danner being choppered into the UK's Snetterton track to test the V6-equipped Jaguar F-Type S prototype. Then when they're finished with kerb-lined apexes, they take the V8 S prototype out onto the roads to run it through hedge-lined apexes.
According to one of them, "very fast, very nimble, great engine" is what will soon be headed our way. Check it out in the video below.
