1975 Jeep CJ5...Original 232 engine w/headers and 3 speed manual T-18 tranny. (AMC-designed, 232-cubic-inch, overhead-valve straight-six, with cast-iron block, hydraulic valve lifters and a single-barrel Carter YF-type carburetor). Dana 20 Transfer Case, Dana 30 Front Axle, Dana 44 Rear Axle and T-14 Transmission. Some people say that this is the best engine ever made. I might have to agree with this.

Many new parts (fuel tank, water pump, radiator, u-joints, steering knuckle, thermostat, totally re-wired, rebuilt carb., guages, etc...) Older (but still nice) custom paint job, Sitting on 36" tires. CD Stereo with connect ports, remote and Box speakers in rear. Newer "Bestop" soft top and doors and also comes with brand new never used bikini top and plastic molded 1/2 doors. Brand new Battery. Receipts for all work done.

Reason why mileage reads 0052 is because all new guages were installed in 2012 and Speedometer/Odometer was also replaced. There was approx. 80,000 miles on old odometer and Only 52 miles added since replacement. It just sits in my garage. I start it up every few days for a minute or two to get the fluids circulating.

After their rented 2007 Hummer H3 failed them during the brutal Rallye Aicha des Gazelles in Morocco, Amy Lerner and her sister Tricia Reina were on a quest to find the most capable production off-roader for their next competition - they chose a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Their next mission was to find a company with the competence to configure it to win. After poring over Internet forums and perusing countless magazines for an outfitter who could meet their demanding requirements, they sent their bright orange JK ("Crush" is the official color) to American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) for some modifications.
The Michigan-based team at AEV kept the Jeep's 3.6-liter V6 and automatic transmission stock, but replaced the hood with a tall AEV Heat Reduction Hood and added an AEV Snorkel Kit for water crossings (it serves double-duty as its raised height helps to keep the air intake out of the kicked-up dust on the trail). Front and rear off-road bumpers were bolted in place, and AEV skid plates were added to provide additional undercarriage protection. A pair of IPF-900 off-road lights improve visibility, while a 10.2-gallon AEV Fuel Caddy (located behind the exterior spare) added some range. The suspension was upgraded with a 3.5-inch lift kit with Bilstein remote reservoir shocks, and 35-inch Falken Wildpeak A/T tires (LT285/70R17) were mounted at all four corners on AEV's beadlock wheels.

It's not often that recall stories make it above the fold, in that old newspaper parlance, but when one shows up as the lead story on the network evening news programs, you know it's something big.
And so it is with Chrysler snubbing its nose at a request by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to recall 2.7 million Jeeps the feds insist are at risk of potentially catastrophic fuel tank fires in a rear-end collision.

Freak accident during Jeep demonstration turns fatal

A 20-year-old woman was killed in Edmonton, Canada on Satuday, reports CTV News, in a freak accident resulting from a rollover during a Jeep demonstration. As part of a fundraising enthusiast event called "Jeeps Go Topless," the driver of one Jeep Wrangler drove up and onto the top of the tire of another.
CTV reports that the owner of the topmost Jeep then switched the vehicle off, posed for pictures and then dismounted from his vehicle. His movement off of the Jeep apparently caused it to tip over, crushing a woman who was on top of an adjacent vehicle. Edmonton police are currently investigating more fully what caused the parking lot accident to occur. Scroll below to watch the CTV News video report about this tragic incident.
