1976 Jeep CJ7-has the desirable 258-6cyl. engine which is basically new w/less than 500 miles.Everything is new from the fan to the flywheel along with all accessories(water pump, fuel pump, distributor, etc). Also has the rare automatic trans. w/QuadraTrac 4x4,which makes it easier to drive & engage the 4x4.
It has an older paint job which is driver quality, has blemishes-pics included(scratches, paint chips, etc). No visible dents or rust, so its overall presentable. The whole underside looks good & the floors have not been cut or patched. The drivers seat has some wear on the bottom edge from entry but could be repaired easily. The rest of the seat is good as well as all others. It needs a few knobs, voltage gauge hooked up & wiper motor. The speedometer, blinkers, lights, etc work.It has a fairly new battery & cranks first time cold without using the gas.
It has newer wheels & tires(Pro Comp 33x12.50-15) like the engine, less than 500 miles. The fender flares are newer along with the chrome dress-up accessories(hinges, dash trim, etc).Has Smitty Built front bumper w/fog lights.Has a center console w/storage,bikini top, hard top & full hard doors.
The '76 was the first year for the CJ7,making it desirable & a good find, especially with the auto.trans.The '76 model was redesigned around the windshield area & had a more rounded/reinforced body.It has had alot of money invested in just the motor & wheel/tire combo alone, would like to see it go to someone who appreciates the CJ's & will use it more. Will be sold with a notarized bill of sale. You are welcome to come by & see it for yourself or ask any questions you may have. Thanks for your consideration...

Jeep leads list of 25 most patriotic brands

Thu, 04 Jul 2013

It's not unusual to feel extra patriotic this time of year, what with the Fourth of July being today and all. As if to celebrate, New York-based research firm Brand Keys conducted a study among 4,500 consumers about what brands they find to be the most patriotic. According to the Detroit Free Press, Jeep took top honors in this study, besting other American stalwart brands including Coca-Cola, Levi's and Hershey's.
Interestingly, the only other automotive brand to make the list was Ford, in the 16th spot (motorcycle fans take note - Harley-Davidson claimed the No. 13 slot). This means consumers found Jeep to be more patriotic than any of the brands in the General Motors portfolio, including Chevrolet, which has long used American themes in its advertising over the decades.
According to Brand Keys, Jeep came in "with a score of 98 out of 100 on a scale representing consumers' emotional engagement expectations," the Detroit Free Press reports. Be sure to read the report to scan the entire Top 25 list for yourself.

2015 Jeep Renegade brings the cute

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The jig is up, the noose is out, we finally found it: the Renegade that Jeep has made, retrieved for a bounty.
Okay, enough of that. Meet the Renegade - Jeep's cute little compact crossover that makes its official debut here at the Geneva Motor Show. We recently brought you a massive Deep Dive into what makes the Renegade tick, and we're now getting our first live look at the tiny Jeep, live from its coming out party in Switzerland.
With the exception of associate editor Jonathon Ramsey, who doesn't know what he's talking about, we at Autoblog are kind of smitten with the little Jeep - it's a really unique package, featuring details that really make it kind of special (notice that jerry can pattern in the taillights, for example). Jeep will offer the Renegade with either a 1.4-liter turbo-four (from the Fiat 500L) or a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated four (from the Dodge Dart), with either a six-speed manual transmission or a nine-speed automatic. There will even be a Trailhawk version with four-wheel drive - properly trail-rated, to boot. The Renegade also features a nifty new My Sky removable roof panel system, giving this little cutie sort of a baby Wrangler feel.

Auto critic calls out Corvette, Mustang and Cherokee faithful

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

Most automotive purists fear change, but not without reason. Change, after all, did kill big-block V8s, along with most station wagons and manual transmissions. But change has also brought with it far more performance, safety and fuel economy - not to mention ridding the world of shag carpet interiors, bias-ply tires and those horrible motorized seatbelts of the early '90s.
By this time next year, the Chevy Corvette, Jeep Cherokee and next-generation Ford Mustang will all be on sale and will all, in some way, have angered or offended purists. To those critics, Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press is preemptively telling them to stop complaining - at least until they've all been driven. From the Corvette's square taillights and the Cherokee's radical nose to whatever pony car purists will harp on the 2015 Mustang for, Phelan's column points out the positives of automotive evolution and the negatives of staying the course for too long. That's fair enough, but do you think Phelan is on point, or all wet? Head on over to the Detroit Free Press to read his words, then have your say in Comments.
