1983 Jeep Scrambler with a NEW Straight 6 cylinder engine ( HAVE PAPERS ) with a 4 speed manuel transmission. THIS JEEP RUNS GREAT!! These Jeep are really popular and hard to find that is not ate up with rust. This one is 95% rust free. The paint is fading some on the hood but over the paint is ok. The body is very solid as is underneath this Jeep. It has 5 BF Goodrich tires size 33X10.50/15 all in great shape with plenty of tread left. The interior is in good overall condition. The driver seat has the threads coming loose alone the seam and black tape has been put over it to prevent any rips. the seat is not ripped. The seats sit good. It has tilt steering column with a Grant steering wheel. Added were aftermarket gauges. The RPM and Volt gauge works. The oil gauge the needle is broken. I have a new inside rubber mat ordered for it. All glass is good. It has a pioneer Stereo/CD system in it with speakers between the seats. All lights work as they should. This is a very solid scrambler ready to have fun in.
This Jeep is also for sale locally so auction could end early. It is being sold AS IS with no warranty given or implied in anyway. Pre Sale inspection is welcomed and encouraged. Please don't ask reserve price. Bid what you are willing to pay. You never know. This Jeep will be sold with a current Georgia registration and a notarized bill of sale as Georgia does not require titles on vehicles older than 1986. Don't worry about this though as I will give you the paperwork you need to get a title in your state. Georgia was just a NON TITLE state till 1986. THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM!! TRUST ME |

Jeep Cherokee joins Altitude trim line
Wed, 22 Jan 2014Jeep fans spoke up last year by naming the Altitude trim level, and the automaker rewarded them with an assortment of cool Jeeps sporting a sinister, blacked-out appearance. Joining the ranks of Jeep models offering an Altitude trim level is the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, and this might be the best looking of the new Cherokees - including the Trailhawk.
Like the previous versions of this model, the 2014 Cherokee Altitude adds black wheels and exterior trim and molding, and it's only offered in four colors: black, silver, white and granite (shown above). You definitely have to love the look of the black accents since the Altitude raises the Cherokee's price by $2,000 to a starting MSRP of $24,995 (not including destination). Jeep says that the 2014 Cherokee Altitude is a limited-edition model, but there is no mention of any specific production figures.
Joining the new Cherokee Altitude are the updated versions of the Grand Cherokee Altitude and Wrangler Altitude with similar limited color combinations and pricier MSRPs starting at $35,290 and $31,595, respectively. These three new Altitude models will go on sale this spring joining the Compass Altitude and Patriot Altitude, which are on sale now. NHTSA closes investigation into Jeep Liberty fires
Sun, 16 Mar 2014The investigation that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened into the Jeep Liberty in October 2013 has been closed. NHTSA received two (!) complaints about fires starting in the driver's door, thought to be caused by the master power window switch. The initial estimate was that 80,000 Libertys could be roped into a possible recall, but according to a report in the Detroit News the agency examined records for 425,000 Chrysler products that used the same window switch, including the Dodge Nitro and Chrysler Town & Country minivan.
After canvassing 265 warranty claims related to the master switches, NHTSA concluded that the rate of fires compared to the "large population of vehicles" was rather low, and that there was no trend pattern behind the few issues it did find. Perhaps with that, and the closure of the trailer hitch investigation, the Liberty can finally rest in peace.
YouTube tallies votes for this year's top five Super Bowl spots [w/video]
Tue, 19 Feb 2013When we asked you to tell us which of this year's 16 car-themed Super Bowl commercials you liked best, you chose the Farmer commercial from Chrysler Group, advertising the Ram trucks, over Audi's Prom commercial in second place. Turns out the voters in YouTube's Ad Blitz poll agreed, voting the same commercial to the number one spot from among the field commercials in every category.
From there, however, they went in a totally different direction. Budweiser's The Clydesdales spot came second, Samsung's The Next Big Thing took third. The Jeep Whole Again ad scored fourth in the YouTube poll, fifth in our poll of auto commercials, and the Hyundai Team spot got fifth from the YouTubers, but ninth in our poll.
The voting results don't match up with the viewing numbers, though - while Farmer has more than 13 million views, The Next Big Thing is well beyond 21 million. You can read the press release below and see all five spots, lined up for you, one more time.
