Fogelsville, Pennsylvania, United States

First off to clarify:  This IS an actual mileage cj!! Auto check does not have it corrected, I have the carfax report ( please see last picture of report) . Previous owner checked wrong box on transfer, I have signed affidavit from Tennessee DMV with state seal signed by previous owner saying it was checked in error " no fraud intended". I submitted this to Pennsylvania  when I titled and it was CORRECTED on my current title it is "actual mileage", I have picture of. Also , I had to submit the affidavit and my current PA actual mileage to CARFAX as evidence and it was corrected on carfax report which I have.  Unfortunately, auto check  did Not correct it,I have all evidence and current carfax stating it is actual mileage, thank you. I can forward this to you on email if need be in addition to the pics.

1986 all original cj7
with only 37,785 miles!!!  6cyl, 4 speed Manuel. I am 3rd owner, I bought in 2011 with 34,xxx miles, has been garaged ever since and has never seen rain.  After I purchased I had approximately 3k in work done to jeep as it had been sitting for some time.  All work completed by Jeff Daniel's Jeep in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. Work included carburetor rebuild, fuel lines, plugs, brakes and calipers, wheel cylinders, exhaust and muffler, new belts, fuel filter, new battery, fuel pump, and tighten steering.  I have copy of all work done.  Also, a 300$ restoration and inspection checklist was done on the jeep where they go completely go over the whole jeep and check every component with a written report.  Jeep runs great, can go down the highway at 65 mph with zero issues and runs like a sewing machine. Mechanically, it could probably use a carb tune up as it has been 3 yrs, and brakes need to be bled to get air out, other than that it runs fantastic.

All gauges are in correct working order, all lights work, all knobs work.  Interior is near perfect condition with upgraded black vinyl seats. Seatbelts work with no issues. This was a radio delete jeep. Brand new Bestop original style replace a top, bestop bikini top included, bestop vinyl half doors included.

All following parts were upgraded or replaced by me:
- new chrome hood latches as old ones chrome was worn
- new black Kentrol stainless steel side mirrors as originals rust and fad
-3 new dash knobs as old ones had chrome worn off
- installed oem original cj7 center console as it was originally a console delete jeep from the factory
-complete cj7 full factory carpet kit as original was just the front floor carpet from the factory
- upgraded original CHROME OEM wheels (including spare) as originals were white spoke wagon wheels, the chrome really makes them pop and are more desirable
- 5 BF Goodrich AT's all around in excellent condition.
- brand new Bestop Replace-a-top 1 month old with original hardware 400$ as original was dry rotted and plastic cracked.

Body:
- All original steel as you can see all the rivet marks where they should be
- Clearcoat in fantastic shape without the normal peeled clearcoat on hood ,shines awesome, turns heads.
- No dents/dings, NO FILLER or BONDO.
- Only issue spot are 3 areas ( see pictures) - right rear quarter just below softop snaps and rear corners where moisture was trapped under original softop where foam edge snaps to body, it is NOT ROT or rusted through! It is bare metal where paint had come off from small amount of bubbling, this appears to be a easy fix but it is NOT rusted through please see pics.  Only other area is body mounts have small amount of rust at body mount site ( see picture), other than that jeep is clean and appears to have a undercoating from factory that is black around wheel wells.

I am very honest in my assessment of the jeep as I am very critical and a perfectionist. It is not perfect but for 28 years old it's pretty dam good. Low mileage cj's don't come around often and very difficult to find here in the east. You can email with any further questions or additional pics, if you don't have the $,  then don't bid! Thank you for looking.

Jeep Wrangler's shift to aluminum could see production leave Toledo

Mon, 06 Oct 2014

The Jeep Wrangler may be a timeless design, but sooner or later, time will run out and Chrysler will have to replace it with a newer model more friendly towards the earth it's designed to traverse. That will, it seems, mean a shift to aluminum construction (whether just for the body or for the entire structure) - but what will that mean for the Wrangler's long-time home of Toledo, OH?
According to the latest pronouncements from Fiat Chrysler chief Sergio Marchionne, the shift to an aluminum Wrangler would likely mean moving production out of Toledo. "If the solution is aluminum," Marchionne told Automotive News, "then I think unfortunately Toledo is the wrong place, the wrong setup to try and build a Wrangler, because it requires a complete reconfiguring of the assets that would be cost-prohibitive."
Marchionne also indicated that, were Wrangler production to move elsewhere, it would find another line to take its place in Ohio. "One of the thing that we are dealing with now is what else we do with Toledo that fulfills our commitment to the city and to Ohio. I don't have a doubt that there will be zero impact on head count and employment levels and anything else." Jeep has built the Wrangler in Toledo since World War II, with the exception of six years starting in 1986 when it was built in Brampton, Ontario. The complex dates back to 1910 and currently produces the Wrangler and Cherokee. Past products have included the Wagoneer and Commanche as well as the Dodge Dakota and Nitro.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Jeep appears to have nailed it this time. After two decades of assembling its Grand Cherokee sport utility vehicle, the American automaker has finally delivered a world-class off-roader capable of taking on everything in its segment - and more - with a high likelihood of coming out on top.
And if you drove last year's model, it's time to climb behind the wheel again as Jeep has significantly updated the SUV for 2014 with a bold new exterior appearance, an upgraded interior with enhanced electronics and a new transmission that completely transforms the way it drives.
We recently spent a full week with a dark blue 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4, a well-optioned model fitted with the standard gasoline-fed V6. While it didn't have the punch of the range-topping V8-powered SRT8, or the fuel-sipping economy of its new EcoDiesel sibling, the high-volume variant left us quite impressed.

Jeep Cherokee faces on-sale delay

Sat, 23 Mar 2013

A report in The Wall Street Journal looks at some of the obstacles to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee that go beyond its mootable yet "very contemporary" looks, almost all of them based on Fiat's financial position. Starting with that sheetmetal, in defense of it SRT president Ralph Gilles and Jeep design head Mark Allen said they wanted to "make sure the design still looks modern five years from now."
The WSJ piece doesn't cite longevity as a factor, instead saying that its features originated in a design for an Alfa Romeo, the transformation into a Jeep design meant allowing Chrysler get it to market more quickly and save "hundreds of millions of dollars" in engineering.
The need for Fiat to save money while it weathers the European situation has cut budgets for development, engineering and the pace of retooling the Toledo, Ohio plant to build the Cherokee. In a familiar case of snowballing at work, among the effects will be pushing back the Cherokee's volume sales date and delaying updates to some of Chrysler's other products.
