1986 Jeep Cj 7 All Original on 2040-cars
Troup, Texas, United States
This is the last year for the CJ7 series, it a great Jeep in good running condition. The motor runs great, T5 tranny works great, all running gear is in good shape, body of the Jeep is straight as is the frame. The Jeep is all original down to the chrome rims. You will see in the photos on the driver door side that there is a rust problem. The floorpans also have a couple of rust issues but I have been all over the Jeep and these are the 3 areas of rust that will need to be fixed. I have restored many Jeeps over the years and fixing this rust issue is fairly easy. The Jeep had been sitting up for a few years so when i got it home I rebuilt the carb ..it did not need anything else..exhaust system is good. Tires are in very good shape, the right front tire still has the blue on it. This jeep did come with factory air, but it has been taken off. I have an under the dash unit that is practically new and I would sell it seperately. I buy Jeep CJ's to restore, have done several over the last few years but age has caught up with me. I will restore this jeep if it does not sell but would rather sell it and just get my money out of it. I am asking exactly what I paid for it. I am old and do not email, my wife does it for me...so any questions will be answered when she gets home from work. You can call me at 903.539.2410 but not after 8:30 pm |

Chrysler nets $1.6B income in Q4, Fiat profit up 5%
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Chrysler announced its 2013 financial results today and unveiled its new name and decidedly bank-like logo. Amid the announcement, Chrysler posted big gains in income, while Fiat didn't perform to analysts' expectations.
For 2013, Chrysler had revenue of $72.1 billion, up 10 percent from 2012. Net income reached $2.8 billion, a 65-percent increase. It was the company's third straight year of annual profits.
In terms of unit sales, Chrysler sold 2.4 million cars worldwide in 2013, up 9 percent. According to Automotive News, 1.8 million of those vehicles were sold in the US, a 14-percent increase. The sales growth boosted Chrysler's US market share to 11.4 percent, up 0.2 percent.
2014 Jeep Cherokee flaunts its new contemporary curves
Wed, 27 Mar 2013
Only slightly more than one month ago, undisguised (and less-than-flattering) shots of the all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee were leaked online. Later that day, in an effort to suppress the uprising, Jeep countered with its own official photography offering us much clearer front and three-quarter views. We've been left to digest those pictures for weeks.
Now, mere hours before the fabric comes sliding off its newest mid-size sport-utility at its live reveal at the New York Auto Show, Jeep has released dozens of new images showing all four corners, plus a few interior shots, of its new Cherokee.
Chrysler adding 200 jobs at Ohio Jeep Wrangler plant
Fri, 15 Mar 2013Chrysler is betting that the Jeep Wrangler will continue its strong sales surge as it continues to push the legendary brand out across the globe. The Auburn Hills automaker is reportedly adding 200 workers at the Toledo, Ohio plant that builds the Wrangler. What's more, those new hires will be at their posts quickly - they'll be on the job by April 1. Of those 200 workers, 130 employees will be there to relieve those who need breaks.
Why do they need so many relief workers? The Toledo Jeep Complex is currently working at a torrid pace with two ten-hour shifts. A third shift has been ruled out for the moment because of a production botttleneck - the plant's paint shop is already maxed out. According to Reuters, Wrangler production in 2012 cleared 200,000 units, and US sales were up by 16 percent.
Another part of the Toledo plant is presently down as Chrysler retools the line to build Jeep's divisively styled Liberty replacement, the Cherokee (seen in our gallery below). Production for the new model is scheduled to begin toward the end of May.
