HI. i have a very nice 1986 jeep cj7 for sale. this jeep is all stock but i did put new 2' springs on it. jeep has power steering and manual brakes 4speed tranny. jeep is 99.8% rust free. the clear coat is peeling but it is the original paint was going to paint the jeep but just dont drive it much anymore. i have a 1987yj i drive most of the time so i dont think i need 2 jeeps!!! All the brakes are good... good exhaust... good tires... has new battery...has new seats...radio has a new motor with 3.500 miles new cluch .. 2014 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]
Tue, 10 Dec 2013The 2014 North American International Auto Show is right around the corner, which means it's high time we found out which cars and trucks would be finalists for the prestigious North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards.
The finalists - three in cars and three in three trucks/utilities - are dominated by American brands, with two-thirds of the finalists hailing from either General Motors or Chrysler (don't worry Ford, there's always next year), while outliers from Mazda and Acura can be found in each contest. Jeep's new Chip Away commercial has us hunting Al Pacino's back catalog
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Chrysler has done a pretty good job as of late turning its television commercials into pep talks or rallying cries, but for its first ad for the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, it turned to Al Pacino's inspirational speech from the movie Any Given Sunday. In the movie, Pacino's character talks about how football is a game of inches, but the commercial, titled Chip Away, focuses more on the attention to detail that Jeep has exhibited on its updated flagship SUV.
Centering around the newest Grand Cherokee model, the luxurious $47,995 Summit trim level, the commercial shows off some of the hand-stitched leathers and real metal and wood accents found inside the cabin. Check out the new 60-second spot by scrolling below.
2014 Jeep Cherokee facing production delay
Fri, 17 May 2013Jeep's bold-faced new direction spearheaded by the 2014 Cherokee is facing some teething issues. According to a report by the Detroit Free Press, production start-up of the controversial new utility vehicle at its Toledo North facility is running about a month behind schedule "due to a wide range of issues." That's according to Mark Chernoby, senior vice president of engineering at Chrysler.
Chernoby maintains that the issues being encountered aren't unusual for the launch of a new vehicle - particularly one with a new powertrain - and he downplayed the delay, telling Jeep dealers that they "will have ample inventory of the midsize SUV by fall." Among the kinks being worked out? Calibrating the Cherokee's cutting-edge ZF nine-speed automatic transmission and refining assembly line tasks to make the process more efficient.
Chrysler expects to start building retail-ready versions of the Cherokee around mid-June, with official sales slated to start in September.
