ONE FAMILY OWNED SINCE NEW. CALIFORNIA JEEP CHEROKEE CHIEF S. ITS WELL OPTIONED WITH TILT, CRUISE, AC, PS AND PDB. HAS NOT BEEN ON THE ROAD IN OVER 12 YEARS, LAST REGISTERED IN 2002. ORIGINAL OWNER HAD A NEW 360 INSTALLED IN 2000 THEN PASSED AWAY BEFORE IT WAS COMPLETED. KIDS GOT THE VEHICLE AND IT HAS SAT THE LAST 12 YEARS. THEY DECIDED TO GET IT GOING LAST YEAR, HAD THE 4" ROUGH COUNTRY LIFT INSTALLED ALONG WITH NEW 33X12.5X15 FALKENS ALONG WITH NEW NEW RIMS. THEY NEVER COULD GET IT RUNNING RIGHT AFTER THIS AND GAVE UP ON IT AGAIN. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION APPEARS THE TIMING CHAIN WAS INSTALLED OFF THE MARK AS THE MOTOR CANNOT BE TIMED. JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING ON THE MOTOR IS NEW. BUY IT WITH THE ASSUMPTION THAT THE MOTOR WILL NEED WORK TO RUN CORRECTLY. RUNS WELL ENOUGH TO SHIP IT NO PROBLEM. INTERIOR IS VERY GOOD FOR ORIGINAL CONDITION WITH JUST A FEW TEARS IN THE FRONT SEATS. DASH, DOOR PANELS AND REAR SEAT ARE GOOD. REAR CARPET HAS BEEN REMOVED. EXTERIOR IS ALL ORIGINAL PAINT AND IN GOOD SHAPE. ONLY RUST IS THE VERY LOWER EDGE OF THE TWO REAR WHEEL FLARES. GLASS IS ALL GOOD. MILES APPEAR TO BE ORIGINAL AT JUST OVER 106K. The Wagoneer got the SUV on the radar of buyers looking for something capable, comfortable and rugged.
The Jeep Wagoneer was introduced 50 years ago, and it's that vehicle we have to thank for the herds of excellent crossovers and SUVs that make up our current automotive landscape. On a personal level, I have always loved the full-size Jeeps and their crisp Brooks Stevens styling, which aged well over their long tenure on the market. The SJs, as they're known among enthusiasts, were the Wagoneer and its two-door counterpart, the original Cherokee. The Wagoneers had become true luxury vehicles by the end of their run, which stretched form late 1962 as a '63 model all the way to 1991, when they were offered exclusively under the Grand Wagoneer nameplate.
Jeep follows up Super Bowl spot with call to help the USO
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Once again, Chrysler had one of the most talked about Super Bowl commercials with its two-minute Whole Again Jeep spot, which was used to highlight its Operation SAFE Return program for US military personnel returning home from active duty. As part of this campaign, Jeep announced today that it will be donating up to $300,000 to the United Services Organizations (USO), and you can help.
Simply tweet using the #joinOSR hashtag on Twitter, visit the Yahoo! homepage or go to the Jeep Operation SAFE Return website, and Jeep will donate $1 to a fund that provides returning troops things like employment assistance and incentives to buy new vehicles. Jeep is also donating to this charity to the tune of $250 for each Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited (including the Freedom Edition model) and Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition model sold.
LA-bound 2014 Jeep Wrangler special edition gives us the Willys for $25,795
Mon, 18 Nov 2013The Jeep Wrangler might be the reigning king of special editions, but with sales records being broken almost all year, this plan is obviously resonating with buyers. Joining new models like the Dragon Edition and Polar Edition, the 2014 Jeep Wrangler is adding a new Willys Wheeler Edition to pay homage to Jeep's military heritage.
Getting ready for its big debut at the LA Auto Show, the 2014 Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler Edition is inspired by early Willys CJ (Civilian Jeep) models with exclusive styling and upgraded off-road goodies. Starting with a Wrangler Sport, these upgrades include a Dana 44 rear axle with limited-slip differential and 3.73 gears, along with meaty BF Goodrich KM Mud Terrain tires mounted to the Willys Wheeler's black 17-inch wheels. For more of a classic Jeep look, this model adds a gloss black grille, "Willys" hood stickers and rock rails to protect the side sills. Jeep is also tossing in a D-ring, tow strap and gloves that are all kept in a special carrying bag.
When it goes on sale early next year, the Wrangler Willys Wheeler Edition will start at $25,795 for the two-door model, while the four-door will start at $29,595.
