For sale is a 1994 Jeep Cherokee, 2 door with a 5 speed manual transmission. Inline 4 cyl. Motor doesn't start, cranks strong but won't run, I bought it as a project truck but I no longer have the time to work on it. Brand new fuel pump, spark plugs and wires, distributer, distributer cap and rotor, ignition switch, crank positioning sensor. Will make for a great project and woods truck, sits on 33" swampers, 3" block lift with upgraded front coil springs, 4.11 gears in a Chrysler 8.25 rear diff with posi-traction. Truck was 2 wheel drive but the front diff. Swap is already done it just needs a transfer case. New tailgate, new backseat.

Jeep follows up Super Bowl spot with call to help the USO
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Once again, Chrysler had one of the most talked about Super Bowl commercials with its two-minute Whole Again Jeep spot, which was used to highlight its Operation SAFE Return program for US military personnel returning home from active duty. As part of this campaign, Jeep announced today that it will be donating up to $300,000 to the United Services Organizations (USO), and you can help.
Simply tweet using the #joinOSR hashtag on Twitter, visit the Yahoo! homepage or go to the Jeep Operation SAFE Return website, and Jeep will donate $1 to a fund that provides returning troops things like employment assistance and incentives to buy new vehicles. Jeep is also donating to this charity to the tune of $250 for each Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited (including the Freedom Edition model) and Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition model sold.
Jeep Cherokee faces on-sale delay
Sat, 23 Mar 2013A report in The Wall Street Journal looks at some of the obstacles to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee that go beyond its mootable yet "very contemporary" looks, almost all of them based on Fiat's financial position. Starting with that sheetmetal, in defense of it SRT president Ralph Gilles and Jeep design head Mark Allen said they wanted to "make sure the design still looks modern five years from now."
The WSJ piece doesn't cite longevity as a factor, instead saying that its features originated in a design for an Alfa Romeo, the transformation into a Jeep design meant allowing Chrysler get it to market more quickly and save "hundreds of millions of dollars" in engineering.
The need for Fiat to save money while it weathers the European situation has cut budgets for development, engineering and the pace of retooling the Toledo, Ohio plant to build the Cherokee. In a familiar case of snowballing at work, among the effects will be pushing back the Cherokee's volume sales date and delaying updates to some of Chrysler's other products.
