For sale is my 1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0L inline 6 cylinder with automatic transmission and 4 wheel drive. It has a Dana model 30 front axle, Chrysler 8.25 rear axle, NP242 full-time/part-time transfer case, A/C, power windows and locks. The Jeep runs great, everything works including the cruise control, the engine does not use oil, knock or smoke, the transmission shifts as it should and all ranges work in the transfer case. I purchased the Jeep a year ago and it has been my daily driver since, the vehicle has had a lot of maintenance work done to it in the past year. All inop items on the Jeep have been addressed, here is a list of what has been done.
Air conditioning system, parts replaced:
- A/C condensor

Cooling System, parts replaced:

- Radiator cap
- Coolant temp sensor
Engine, parts replaced:

Seals, parts replaced:
- Transfer case output seal
- Real pinion seal
- Left real axle seal
- Valve cover gasket
Lights, parts replaced: All bulbs replaced
Spare parts not installed yet: All new trans lines, fuel pump with strainer and lock ring, left side front axle u-joint, complete tune-up kit, vent visors for all 4 doors, black grill with black headlight bezels (factory), and 1 new in box heater control valve. There is over $1500.00 in new parts alone on this Jeep within the last year.
The wheels are 15x8 and the tires are 235/75R-15 General Grabbers and were installed 9/29/2012 at 115,000 miles, they cost $900.00. Also included are a complete set of factory steel wheels and tires along with the factory donut spare. An example of one of the wheels can be seen in the pictures as it is being used now for a full size spare. The buyer will get both sets of wheels with the Jeep.
The only bad things to report is 1. The rear window washer does not work, however the wiper does. 2. The transmission leaks a couple drops when parked after being driven, I noticed this because I have a painted garage floor and it is more of an annoyance than a serious issue. I have only had to add a pint of fluid after several thousand miles of driving. The floors have typical rot on the driver and passenger side and were patched with sheet metal at some point. The rockers show signs of repair also but the subframe is solid. Please look at the pictures closely as I tried to show the amount of rust on the undercarriage, if this is an issue I suggest the vehicle be inspected in person. Outside of the issues mentioned above the Jeep is mechanically sound however it is sold as is with no warranty implied. Please email with any questions or if any additional pictures are desired.

Jeep gives a trio of customs an encore showing at SEMA
Wed, 05 Nov 2014While Jeep certainly had some new customs on display at this year's SEMA show, it wasn't afraid to recycle a few that people might have missed from earlier this year. The maker of many beloved off-roaders already displayed the Jeep Cherokee Dakar, Maximum Performance Wrangler and Wrangler Mojo at the 2014 Easter Safari, but they all made it to SEMA for an encore.
Based around the Trailhawk, the Cherokee Dakar (pictured above) imagines an even more off-road-capable version of the crossover. The concept wears a mix of Silver Steel Stain paint with Flame Red graphics and rides on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires. To back up the rugged look, the Dakar is fitted with rock rails and skid plates protecting the oil pan, front suspension, fuel tank and other underbody parts. It also sports prototype parts from Jeep Performance Parts, including a lift kit and fender flares.
The Wrangler is one of the paragons of off-roading, and as the name suggests, the Maximum Performance Wrangler concept is meant to be the ultimate example of what it can do. The custom features locking Dana 60 axles front and rear, a 4:1 Rock-Trac transfer case, prototype 4-inch lift kit and 37-inch Mud Terrain tires over beadlock wheels. To stay on the trails well into the night, a bar of LEDs is mounted above the windshield. And finally, the Mopar Blue exterior kind of makes the vehicle look like the world's toughest blueberry.
Jeep Wrangler gets the wide-track treatment
Mon, 07 Jan 2013When we read the tip about a Gulf-state diplomat in Rabat, Morocco who had supposedly "merged two Jeep Wranglers," we figured the two off-roaders were somehow linked front-to-back. Oh no. As you can see in the image above, taken from video of that vehicle actually traveling down the road and needing more than one lane to do it, the two Jeeps were put together side-by-side.
The seriously widebody truck is said to have six wheels, one at each corner and two in the middle. That's about all anyone seems to know about it at the moment, and that's probably enough - in these situations you know better than to ask why, just watch the video below.
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel and SRT climb onto stage
Mon, 14 Jan 2013This is indeed a case of not knowing how much we wanted something until it arrived. We've been big fans of the Jeep Grand Cherokee ever since the new model arrived a couple of years ago, and while the update you see here might seem just a slight refresh, it's actually much more than that.
For starters, the 2014 Grand Cherokee marks the return of a diesel model here in the States, with Chrysler's new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 under the hood, churning out 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Of course, all of the Grand Cherokee's usual off-road goodies are on hand, with moderate tweaks to make it an even more capable vehicle when the going gets rough. Both the gasoline-fed 3.6-liter V6 and 5.7-liter V8 get the new eight-speed auto, as well.
The high-performance Grand Cherokee SRT also trudges on into the new model year, with very subtle tweaks found underneath the aggressive, slightly redesigned sheetmetal. The 6.4-liter Hemi V8 also gets eight-speed gearing, which Chrysler says will improve not only 0-60 times, but mid-range performance as well. Bring it on, we say.
