this is a 1993 jeep grand cherokee lorado 4x4 loaded. this jeep was purchased with a lot of highway miles but was rebuilt extensively by a 35 year veteran truck builder specifically for himself at precision diesel service inc. i am the shop owner and i am just selling it for him.
the following list of parts are all new with less than 3000 miles on them:
timing chain/gears, water pump, radiator, electric fan, a/c system, cold air intake system, gas struts on hatch, keyless entry, pioneer cd player w/ remote, sony xplode speakers, fuel pump,BDS 4 1/2" long arm suspension lift, BDS adjustable lower control arms front and rear, BDS adjustable trac bars front and rear, BDS gas 9000 series shocks, BDS gas 9000 tripple steering stabilizer kit, BDS quick disconnect anti sway bar links, mickey thompson mtz 35"x12.5"-16" tires on mickey thompson classic II wheels,flowmaster 40 series muffler and dual exhaust, halo projector led headlights, led tail lights, bushwacker cut out fender flares, yukon 4.56 gears front and back, rockslider step bars, built trans with shift kit and 1-2 sonic shift accumulator. Freak accident during Jeep demonstration turns fatal
Mon, 20 May 2013A 20-year-old woman was killed in Edmonton, Canada on Satuday, reports CTV News, in a freak accident resulting from a rollover during a Jeep demonstration. As part of a fundraising enthusiast event called "Jeeps Go Topless," the driver of one Jeep Wrangler drove up and onto the top of the tire of another.
CTV reports that the owner of the topmost Jeep then switched the vehicle off, posed for pictures and then dismounted from his vehicle. His movement off of the Jeep apparently caused it to tip over, crushing a woman who was on top of an adjacent vehicle. Edmonton police are currently investigating more fully what caused the parking lot accident to occur. Scroll below to watch the CTV News video report about this tragic incident.
Jeep follows up Super Bowl spot with call to help the USO
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Once again, Chrysler had one of the most talked about Super Bowl commercials with its two-minute Whole Again Jeep spot, which was used to highlight its Operation SAFE Return program for US military personnel returning home from active duty. As part of this campaign, Jeep announced today that it will be donating up to $300,000 to the United Services Organizations (USO), and you can help.
Simply tweet using the #joinOSR hashtag on Twitter, visit the Yahoo! homepage or go to the Jeep Operation SAFE Return website, and Jeep will donate $1 to a fund that provides returning troops things like employment assistance and incentives to buy new vehicles. Jeep is also donating to this charity to the tune of $250 for each Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited (including the Freedom Edition model) and Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition model sold.
Jeep Wrangler likely to get aluminum body, will stay in Toledo
Mon, 27 Oct 2014Perhaps more than any other vehicle currently for sale in the United States, the Jeep Wrangler is viewed by purist fans as a vehicle that simply must maintain the status quo. In this case, that means a body-on-frame design, solid axles, a relatively large engine sitting up front and a removable top. It's always been that way, and it always will be.
Maybe.
According to the most recent reports, the next-generation Jeep will continue to soldier forth with a full steel chassis underneath its stamped bodywork. The biggest change, reports Automotive News, will be that said panels will be hewn from aluminum instead of steel, a seismic shift of a transition not unlike what's happened with the new Ford F-150. Because it won't be a unibody, the SUV will likely continue to be assembled in Toledo, OH as it (almost) always has been - the latter has been a source of heartburn in recent weeks for the Northwestern city in the Buckeye State.
