1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l on 2040-cars
Wabash, Indiana, United States
You are bidding on 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This was our main vehicle for many years, now that gas prices have gone up we have only used it mainly during the winter months for wife's commute to work. We have always had the oil changed every 3000 miles. We just put a lot of money into the Jeep with replacing the water pump and while replacing that the mechanic also said our head gasket needed repair. We did have a second quote to verify that it was indeed of needing repair. Which it was and we have had all that work done just a month ago. Last winter we had both front axles replaced with new ones. The rear shocks have also been replaced about that time. It also just had a tune up just a few months ago. The brakes front and back were changed about 8 months ago. The tires do need to be replaced eventually I would say there is maybe 35% left of the tread life. One other new thing that has recently came up is the neutral safety switch. It does need replaced if the Jeep does not start you put it in neutral and it starts right up. I took it in to be checked but this year of Jeep has two different switches and they could not give me a accurate quote without tearing into to see which one it was. So I just let it go for now. It also needs a muffler, I had the catalytic converter changed but the mechanic said the muffler needed addressed soon. It does not make any noise just needs replaced. The interior is in great shape no tears in the seats and the headliner is in great shape. The carpets are in good shape also some minor stains here and there but nothing major. I am trying to be honest with any and all issues that the vehicle may have. If you have any questions or are in the area and want to see it just message me.

Chrysler teases upcoming outlay of SEMA cars
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is hauling a multitude of modified models to the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas this November, and the company is releasing the first teasing sketches of many of them.
Unfortunately, FCA isn't giving many solid details on any of the concepts other than saying the vehicles from Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Fiat all benefit from tuning from its Mopar performance brand. The teaser photos include a sinister-looking Chrysler 200S, Fiat 500 Abarth with two-tone paint and a scorpion on the hood, a red and black 500L, seemingly two different takes on the Jeep Renegade, a green Dodge Challenger wearing the T/A badge, an orange and black Dart, a very neon Charger, just the outline of a red and black Viper, a Ram ProMaster in Mopar livery and a Ram pickup called the Outdoorsman.
Take a look through the gallery to see what you think of the sketches for these concepts, and scroll down for the full announcement from FCA.
Jeep's new Chip Away commercial has us hunting Al Pacino's back catalog
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Chrysler has done a pretty good job as of late turning its television commercials into pep talks or rallying cries, but for its first ad for the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, it turned to Al Pacino's inspirational speech from the movie Any Given Sunday. In the movie, Pacino's character talks about how football is a game of inches, but the commercial, titled Chip Away, focuses more on the attention to detail that Jeep has exhibited on its updated flagship SUV.
Centering around the newest Grand Cherokee model, the luxurious $47,995 Summit trim level, the commercial shows off some of the hand-stitched leathers and real metal and wood accents found inside the cabin. Check out the new 60-second spot by scrolling below.
Jeep Wrangler gets the wide-track treatment
Mon, 07 Jan 2013When we read the tip about a Gulf-state diplomat in Rabat, Morocco who had supposedly "merged two Jeep Wranglers," we figured the two off-roaders were somehow linked front-to-back. Oh no. As you can see in the image above, taken from video of that vehicle actually traveling down the road and needing more than one lane to do it, the two Jeeps were put together side-by-side.
The seriously widebody truck is said to have six wheels, one at each corner and two in the middle. That's about all anyone seems to know about it at the moment, and that's probably enough - in these situations you know better than to ask why, just watch the video below.
