Cannot be picked up until the 11th of this month because I am waiting for my new vehicle to come in. May have a 100 or 200 miles more than what listing shows.

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V8 4.7L 4 Wheel Drive 4X4 in average to good condition with the following being done:

Spark Plugs Changed                 2000 miles ago
Air Filter Changed                       2000 miles ago
PCV Changed                            2000 miles ago
Fuel Filter                                  2000 miles ago
Oil & Filter Change                       700 miles ago
Front Brake Pads Changed          4400 miles ago
Front Rotors Changed                  4400 miles ago
Brake Fluid Changed                    4400 miles ago
New Emergency Front Section Replaced about 4400 miles ago
Rear Brake Pads Changed             900 miles ago
Rear Rotors Changed                     900 miles ago

The following should be replaced in my opinion:
2 New Tires (2 of 4 tires are not good at all)
Wheel Alignment
Left Rear Brake Caliper (dust boot ripped and had a freeze situation that has been temporarily mended and will certainly happen again within a few thousand miles)
Left Rear Caliper Minor Resurfacing (caliper froze and I caught it in time, so only minor brazing done and no serious harm)
Left Rear Pad Chamfering (however you spell it, but in plain terms means to smooth) or Replacing

Driver front door panel where you would rest your arm is ripped and should be repaired or replaced.

If you really want to go nuts there could be a laundry list of things that should be done on a used vehicle with 164000 miles on it, but that is all up to you.

*Trans filter and fluid should be done in about 5000 miles
*Front and Rear Diff Fluid should be changed in 5000 miles

The vehicle runs and drives well, with the transmission shifting as it should. Because of the tires, there is vibration from 48 to 60 miles an hour and should go away once new tires are on and they are balanced. It has strong acceleration and is a great ride. The 4 Wheel Drive does what it should. A/C works well. Heat works well. Radio does what it should do. Infinity sound is nice. It comes with 2 keys and 2 remotes. Power windows, mirrors, sunroof, locks, and all electronics do what they should. I cleaned the headlights and they are pretty clear.

I am not shipping this anywhere and you will need to pick it up.

Thanks

More pictures will be added tomorrow, which is 10/3/13

Chinese Jeep production confirmed with Fiat, Guangzhou agreement

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

Fiat has just finalized a deal originally set up in January between it and China's Guangzhou Automotive Group to bring Jeep production to China. It remains unclear which models will be built, although we're wagering that it'll be the 2014 Cherokee. What we do know, now, is where production will take place.
According to Automotive News, Guangzhou originally wanted production to take place in its home assembly plant in its namesake city. Fiat has battled to send production to a joint venture facility established between Guangzhou and Fiat in the town of Changsha. The joint facility won out, and now the factory, originally built in 2010 with a 140,000-unit capacity, will see Jeeps rolling out of it.
Currently, the GAC-Fiat factory produces the Fiat Viaggio, a jointly developed product that is closely related to America's Dodge Dart. And while it remains unclear as to which model will join the Viaggio on the assembly line, that model is understood to ride on Fiat's Compact platform. The only Jeep to share those underpinnings is the new Cherokee, so there's not much connecting of dots needed to see why this scenario would make sense.

Chrysler resolves recall issue with NHTSA, will inspect, upgrade affected Jeeps

Tue, 18 Jun 2013

Chrysler made big news earlier in the month by refusing a recall request from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty. Last week, NHTSA boss David Strickland countered by defending his agency's request for the recall of 2.7 million Jeep SUVs. Today marked the deadline for Chrysler to formally respond to NHTSA, and it seems that both parties have met in the middle with Chrysler inspecting and upgrading some of the affected vehicles without using the word "recall," which would constitute the admission of a defect; instead, Chrysler said that it is conducting a "voluntary campaign."
At issue on these vehicles is the positioning of the fuel tank behind the rear axle that could get damaged during a rear-end collision. NHTSA has stated that at least 51 people have been killed in rear-end collisions involving these Jeeps after the vehicles caught fire, to which Chrysler countered by pointing out that both models "met and exceeded" the requirements for fuel-system integrity.
As a compromise on the situation, Chrysler says that it will inspect all pre-2004 Grand Cherokees and pre-2007 Liberty models and, "if necessary, provide an upgrade to the rear structure of the vehicle." According to Automotive News, this upgrade will consist of adding a trailer hitch that will presumably better protect the rear-mounted gas tank. Vehicles already equipped with a factory or Mopar hitch will not be modified. Chrysler's official statement on the matter is posted below, but no additional information has been released, such as when the campaign will begin and how many vehicles could be affected.

Jeep Cherokee faces on-sale delay

Sat, 23 Mar 2013

A report in The Wall Street Journal looks at some of the obstacles to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee that go beyond its mootable yet "very contemporary" looks, almost all of them based on Fiat's financial position. Starting with that sheetmetal, in defense of it SRT president Ralph Gilles and Jeep design head Mark Allen said they wanted to "make sure the design still looks modern five years from now."
The WSJ piece doesn't cite longevity as a factor, instead saying that its features originated in a design for an Alfa Romeo, the transformation into a Jeep design meant allowing Chrysler get it to market more quickly and save "hundreds of millions of dollars" in engineering.
The need for Fiat to save money while it weathers the European situation has cut budgets for development, engineering and the pace of retooling the Toledo, Ohio plant to build the Cherokee. In a familiar case of snowballing at work, among the effects will be pushing back the Cherokee's volume sales date and delaying updates to some of Chrysler's other products.
