I have decided to sell my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I just recently purchased this vehicle from the original owner and had plans on keeping it but I realized I can't afford it anymore. This Jeep is in great shape. It runs and drives fantastic, has no slop in the steering, has good brakes, runs very smooth with no hesitation, has new tires, the battery was swapped out last year, transmission shifts smoothly and the fluid looks real clean, and the transfer case shifts into 4wd quick and easily. It has the 5.7 Hemi V8 and it gets anywhere from 13 to 15 mpg depending on how you drive it. The interior is in great shape as well, but has one small minor tear on the back bottom seat about a 1/2 inch. Other than that the leather is in great shape. It has satelitte radio, navigation, 6 disc CD changer, DVD entertainment center, power windows & locks, sunroof that doesn't leak, cruise, great heat and AC, heated front seats, and if I forgot something just ask and I will let ya know but everything works. The body is in great shape with a couple minor scratches as you can expect with a vehicle that has 126,000 miles. Blue book value is around $12,100 but I am putting the reserve at $10,500. Chrysler's Jefferson North plant builds 5-millionth SUV [w/video]
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Chrysler's Jefferson North Assembly Plant opened in 1992 for production of the first Jeep Grand Cherokee, but in the subsequent years, the Detroit plant has gone on to produce some of the company's biggest SUVs including the Jeep Commander and Dodge Durango. Earlier this week, the plant produced its five-millionth SUV, which, fittingly, was a Grand Cherokee.
Celebrating the plant's five-millionth unit, the silver 2014 Grand Cherokee was promptly donated to the USO. In addition to this milestone SUV, Chrysler also had a near-perfect 1993-95 ZJ Grand Cherokee on hand for the photo op. Jeep gives Cherokee its yin and yang with Sageland and Urbane concepts
Sat, 19 Apr 2014Among the design concepts Jeep has prepared for Beijing Motor Show this year are a pair of Cherokees dressed up in contrasting schemes.
In one corner we have the Sageland concept pictured above, drawing its inspiration from Shangri-La with an Ivory Peal tri-coat and bronze trim for the grille, fascia appliqués, roof rack, sunroof, mirror caps and exhaust tips. Inside it's all earth tones with light gray Nappa leather seats and red and blue top-stitching inspired by traditional Chinese themes.
Meanwhile the Urbane concept (pictured right) takes the Cherokee in a different direction with steel blue metallic paintjob and black accents. Inside it adopts the theme of Chinese calligraphy with Piano Black accepts and dark red Nappa leather.
2014 Jeep Cherokee dreams of Moab, crawls on stage [w/video]
Wed, 27 Mar 2013The all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee inched its way onto the stage at the New York Auto Show today, proving that at least the "Trail Rated" version of the SUV is more than just a controversial unique odd fresh face in the mid-size segment. After the short, simulated Moab run by the Trailhawk model, the gray four-door was joined on the stage by a burgundy Limited model - the luxurious highway variant.
As a recap, the all-new 2014 Cherokee rides atop a modular Alfa Romeo-derived platform (we know it from the Dodge Dart) and will be offered in both front- and all-wheel drive models with a choice between a 2.4-liter four-cylinder (rated at 184 horsepower) and a new 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 (developing 271 horsepower) engine. A nine-speed automatic is standard and no less than three different all-wheel drive systems are available.
Of the four different models (Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk), we like the rugged looks and capabilities offered by the Trailhawk the best.
