2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited on 2040-cars
Sanford, North Carolina, United States
This auction is for my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. This Jeep has a lot of options and sold for $42,000 new. The engine is a 5.7 HEMI with a MagnaFlow exhaust and a K&N cold air intake system. The transmission is a five speed auto with a selectable gear function. The Jeep has a towing package with a receiver hitch and all necessary plugs and wiring. The transmission has a tow/haul setting for towing in the mountains. The tires are all terrain and have over 75% tread left. Everything on this jeep works like it should. The sun roof is nice to have on a cool fall night. The sound system can be controlled by the driver on the steering wheel and includes an I POD connection am/fm, 6 disc changer, and serious satellite radio which will not expire for the life of the receiver. The all time 4 wheel drive can be switched into low range if necessary. I have used only full synthetic oil in the engine. I bought the jeep with 30,000 miles, I changed the trans fluid and filter at 110,000 miles.
Payment can be delivered by cash at pick up. |

NHTSA closes probes on Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey
Wed, 09 Jan 2013The Detroit News reports the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially closed its investigations into 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2004-2005 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey models. The separate probes found no issues that pose safety concerns. NHTSA began investigating certain Grand Cherokee SUVs over complaints that power steering hoses could detach during operation, thereby increasing the risk of a vehicle fire. Of the 24 reports of failure, none alleged smoke or fire in the engine bay, and Chrysler has since modified the power steering cooler assembly to reduce the likelihood of the failure.
Meanwhile, certain Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey vehicles garnered a government probe after receiving complaints that the models were equipped with faulty scissor jacks. The agency had received six reports of the jacks failing or causing injuries, including one incident that resulted in a fatality. But NHTSA says the jack failure rate is similar to those found in other vehicles. In those six cases, the government agency found the jacks were being used for something other than changing a tire, and investigators could not determine whether the emergency brake was set or the rear tires were properly chocked.
Jeep going bigger with new Grand Wagoneer, smaller with sub-Renegade?
Tue, 11 Mar 2014The headlines are still rolling in for the new Renegade that Jeep unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last week, but already reports are surfacing, citing sources within the company, about what Chrysler's iconic off-road brand will do next.
Speaking with Auto Express (whose reports we tend to take with a grain of salt or two), Jeep chief Mike Manley suggested that two courses of action are currently under consideration at Auburn Hills to develop two very different new models - one smaller and one larger than anything Jeep currently makes.
One plan would be to make an SUV or crossover even smaller than the new Renegade, although it isn't immediately clear what platform it would take. The Renegade (pictured above in Trailhawk spec) will be built in Italy alongside Fiat's upcoming 500X, but uses a heavily modified platform. We figure the smaller model, if approved, could base itself on the new Fiat Panda Cross.
