 2001 JEEP WRANGLER SE 4X4
Automatic - 2.5L 4 Cylinder - Soft Top w/ Half Doors
Call Alex @ 815-777-4477

Check out the great deal we are offering on this 2001 Jeep Wrangler SE 4x4 with an automatic transmission, a 2.5L 4 Cylinder engine and low miles of only 87,000. This Wrangler has gone through our service inspection, we began by changing the oil and filter, the windshield had a chip that was unable to be repaired so we replaced the windshield, we replaced the radio and a new center console lid, replaced the brake pads and rotors, put on new wiper blades and air filter, replaced the steering damper, and performed a front end alignment. The check engine light came on after being on the lot for a week so we scanned it and replaced the o2 sensor p0132 upstream. We got this low mileage Wrangler from an insurance auction, so this Wrangler at one time was salvage, we received the vehicle without any damage, took the vehicle to the state of Illinois inspection office and now a clear Illinois title branded previous rebuilt. Since we are right in the middle of Wrangler season this would be a steal of a deal to get and enjoy the summer in. The top is easy to remove and the Jeep is very fun to drive. Residents in the state of Illinois will be required to pay all applicable taxes and out of state residents will pay $194 in fees and will be given a 30 day temporary tag. We do have this Jeep for sale locally and do reserve the right to end the auction early should the Jeep sell. Please call Alex @ 815-777-4477 with any and all questions.

We will take any kind of vehicle in on trade, can assist with financing, and arrange shipping. Call Alex @ 815-777-4477 to discuss more!

Chrysler resolves recall issue with NHTSA, will inspect, upgrade affected Jeeps

Tue, 18 Jun 2013

Chrysler made big news earlier in the month by refusing a recall request from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty. Last week, NHTSA boss David Strickland countered by defending his agency's request for the recall of 2.7 million Jeep SUVs. Today marked the deadline for Chrysler to formally respond to NHTSA, and it seems that both parties have met in the middle with Chrysler inspecting and upgrading some of the affected vehicles without using the word "recall," which would constitute the admission of a defect; instead, Chrysler said that it is conducting a "voluntary campaign."
At issue on these vehicles is the positioning of the fuel tank behind the rear axle that could get damaged during a rear-end collision. NHTSA has stated that at least 51 people have been killed in rear-end collisions involving these Jeeps after the vehicles caught fire, to which Chrysler countered by pointing out that both models "met and exceeded" the requirements for fuel-system integrity.
As a compromise on the situation, Chrysler says that it will inspect all pre-2004 Grand Cherokees and pre-2007 Liberty models and, "if necessary, provide an upgrade to the rear structure of the vehicle." According to Automotive News, this upgrade will consist of adding a trailer hitch that will presumably better protect the rear-mounted gas tank. Vehicles already equipped with a factory or Mopar hitch will not be modified. Chrysler's official statement on the matter is posted below, but no additional information has been released, such as when the campaign will begin and how many vehicles could be affected.

Jeep Cherokee finally dealer-bound

Tue, 22 Oct 2013

We had our First Drive of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee last month, but it appears that prospective buyers won't have too much longer to finally get time behind the wheel of the new small Jeep.
Automotive News is reporting that after a two-month delay, Jeep dealers will finally start receiving their first shipments of the new Cherokee, in the next 10 days. A Chrysler spokesperson confirmed to Autoblog that the Cherokee is indeed on its way to Jeep dealers.
According to AN, about 23,000 Cherokees have been built since production commenced back in June, but potential powertrain issues forced Jeep to make adjustments to the Cherokee along the way. Automotive News says that in order to make sure there are no issues with the Cherokee before it reaches customers, it is testing each vehicle after it rolls off the assembly line at a rented test track near the vehicle's Toledo North Assembly Plant.

This American Life spends a week selling Jeeps in Long Island

Thu, 19 Dec 2013

So you think you know car dealers? Well, maybe you do, but This American Life spent a month at Town and Country Jeep Chrysler Doge Ram in Long Island to give us a behind-the-scenes look (or listen, since it's a radio program) at what it's like to be a car dealer.
Yes, there's a lot of swearing in thick New York accents, frustration, confusion, and generally it's a madhouse at the dealership. But that's understandable when the sales staff has to sell 129 vehicles in October in order to get an $85,000 manufacturer bonus - with several other Jeep dealerships within a 10-mile radius.
The episode, 129 Cars, is worth a listen, but make sure you have 71 minutes to spare if you want to get through it in one sitting. Head here for the unedited version or here for the bleeped version (which is 58 minutes long).
